OK I understand some people wish Tesla was a Croat, but he was not. He was Serbian as his father, and grandfathers and so on. My mothers family is from the same aria as his, in what is now modern Croatia, but population of the aria was predominantly Serbian until the war. So if Tesla is Croatian I should be also. Somehow your state does not think so. So, back to nationality not modern day borders. Tesla is Serbia, he was pointing that out him self many times thruout his life and was proud of it. He comes from orthodox priest family like mine is. So even by religion he is Serbian. Just making a claim of nationality based on the place of birth is stupid as document in Croatia state both as you know. Even during Austro Hungarian Empire Tesla family is written down as Serbian. Studied some years in Austria but that dose not make him Austrian, even thou he was born in Austro Hungarian territory at a time, it was not Croatia then. Now he's family could actually become Hungarian based on his place of birth as its known. Just read a bit of history and you will know all.

@@cesarb8536 probably. But you know, i know some Ukrainian people who lives in new York in their community (like china town, but for Ukrainians), so they don't speak english at all!!! Their kids had huge problems when they went to school, because all preschool are Ukrainian too!!! So people just stuck, and don't want to explore. My Indian mother in low, barely speaks English after 40 y. In US, doesn't drive etc.... but when I moved i didn't talk to any Russian speakers on purpose for at least a year, so I can learn faster... so there are different examples, I guess
