@@hermantinoherman5319 The benefit of the unmanned turret is that the crew compartment becomes less complex in shape and with no moving parts. This makes it ALOT easier to protect the crew compartnment. And since almost all anti tank weapons function by penetrating crew compartment and creating heat and pressure in there, this is a huge advantage.

For simple taxi flights we use Russia's cheap shit. They've got leftovers, and the technology for taxi flights is simple enough for the Russians to handle. When we need new developments we prefer US or European systems.

PAK-FA development is proceeding at a VERY slow pace. They are still using old generation engines since they are having trouble completing the new engine. Currently, they only have 12 of them on order for testing. India has expressed concern about the slow development. With the current state of the Russian economy, they are unlikely to be able to build large numbers of PAK-FA or T-14s since their budgets barely allow them to take care of the equipment they have now. It will be at least 2020 before they can get small numbers in operational service. There are many unfinished technologies in the T-14 and PAK-FA. Russia has struggled to build modern night visions sensors and had to purchase French made tank sights and targeting pods. Now that sanctions have cut off their ability to buy these technologies they have been trying to illegally purchase them from the West and even bought some from China. Russia's military has modernized a great deal in the past few years but they still have a ways to go before they can catch up to Western militaries
