NATO has never been a threat to Russia; Russia's problematic relations with almost all its neighbors are stabilized by those countries membership in NATO. None of them will ever attack Russia without a broad consensus of all the member states who would find themselves forced to fight. The best protection Russia could ever have, if they weren't blinded by corrupt and morally bankrupt tyrants.

Thanks to Russian political support, Montenegro gained international recognition at the Berlin Congress. Russian professional and financial support was crucial to carry out a comprehensive reform of the Montenegrin army at the end of the 19th century, which thanks to Russian loans, mostly later written off and direct donations, came into possession of modern weapons. Russian subsidies to the Montenegrin state budget in 1902 exceeded its half. Dr. Valtazar Bogišić, the writer of the first Montenegrin Constitution, also came from Odessa to Montenegro.

Not the first time I see speculations about friendship of Russian with people from other parts of Eastern Europe. Irrespective where you are West manipulates local people against Russians. The same story in Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Cyprus, Moldova, Georgia, etc. That is all coming from deeply hidden xenophobic attitude to Russians and that is one of the reasons behind war in Ukraine.

@@fotoz2363I have aunt who said about russian married ukrainian girl. Both live now in apartment in my city. Guy oftenly comes to my aunt to fix his car and my aunt speaks russian as well. Russian language was later replaced in schools with English after Yugoslavia fell apart.

Let's EU enter in Montenegro to confiscate the Russian propierties in Budva, sell it and give the money to Ukraine reconstruction lol, and the same will go to touristic plces in Europe where russians have their propierties!

Great idea, being part of worse group that is overpricing and limiting as maximum they can. Plus censoring everything that looks like a "provocation" to them. You're just calling out communism and EU to commit crime of selling hard earned money that citizens worked for years.
