Oh please STOP your shallowness & childishness! Russia isn't "showing off military might," its commemorating the sacrifices of its forebears & the near destruction of their country. This event isn't a celebration, its a solemn commemoration of a painful period of their history in which they lost millions of their people. The military parade is at once to memorialize those who fought & died in the regiments on display, to honor the survivors across the world & to assure the Russian people that their armed forces will defend the Fatherland.

I wish our rotten government here had patriotic parades and remember victory in Europe day victory in Japan day because it is so important to remember the people who were innocent civilians that died in that catastrophic war and those that were sensitively slaughtered.we have to respect the soldier who fought and we must remember that despite what happened in Germany that Adolf Hitler was born in Austria and the Nazi party roasted power after the end of World War 1 because of their bitterness and they didn't get popular until the Social Democrat Party in Germany printed too much money resulting in inflation that was about 100 or 200% and about half the people were unemployed. the stock market crashed in America followed by the Great Depression and it spread all over the world except Spain Italy Russia and Japan. that was adding insult to injury and when people are hungry and poor they're desperate, they just want hope and something to cling to .I'm Christian so I pray to God and do the best I can..I don't trust any man or any person or group of people to make things better and definitely not overnight..somebody has to be a proven success before all we've been consider supporting them and before the Nazis ever invaded anybody else the Nazi party invaded the Germans.. the people who disagree God bless these people and them showing patriotism for victory in your update because I wish our government would have this . Americans are very modest about our military and we don't want to put it on display because none of us would ever want it to come out of some kind of bigotry or vanity . besides we got about a lot of college age and adult babies that get offended by everything in this country sometimes but that's just because they're spoiled and they've never gone a day without anything in their life ..I keep telling them they need to go to another country and definitely see a third world country .

You in the West simply have no idea what the Soviet Union was for us (your movies do not contain even one percent of the truth about that country). Most of those who lived under the USSR have respect for their homeland. My parents always speak well of the USSR, but everyone in our country realizes that a return to the USSR is impossible, because this huge country was built on Lenin's ideology, which would be ridiculous in our time. And yes, Russia is not building a new empire, but a new world that is fairer for the majority of humanity, not for a “exclusive” part of the Western world. The West doesn't like that, of course.

@@denmark39 You don't understand the problems with the T-14 project. First of all, it should be said that the T-14 is indeed the most advanced tank in the world. Or one of the most advanced. I live 100 kilometers from the manufacturer of this tank and we here know something about it. 1. it is more expensive than the T-90 of the last modification by 2.5 million dollars. 2. It is impossible to produce them in quantities capable of affecting the conflict in Ukraine. 3. Capture of this tank (and it will undoubtedly happen) will give the West a lot of technology. 4. The destruction of this tank (and it will certainly happen) will give a media picture for Western propaganda. 5. This tank needs a new school of crew training because it's quite different from traditional russian tanks. As a result, it was decided to modify old tanks, which are ALREADY built in a huge number.
