On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you prefer more up close and personal dogfights consider the IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battle series and experience intense WWII aerial combat over famous battlefields such as Stalingrad, Moscow, Rhineland and Normandy. Fight in and against Russian, American, German, British warbirds such as the P-51 Mustang, P-47 Thunderbolt, Bf-109, FW-190, Spitfire, Hurricane and rugged IL-2 Sturmovik attack plane. You can also fly legendary SPADS, Fokkers and Camels in WWI dogfights over the trenches of WWI and discover your inner Red Baron! And all of this can be experienced in jaw dropping virtual reality!

He educates you as well if u listen because he knows his aircraft an the strong an weak points of them. That being said GS don't change what your doing brother

I think the rule should be only use once of each aircraft from a pool so they can’t just spam F22 and SU57 lol. They’d be pretty pissed off if they realized they wasted a F22 pick on a merge with a MIG 21

you should make a deal to use only one time every plane in order to avoid double usage of F22, Su35, Su57 and Eurofighter which are 4++ or fifth gen. Nice video

id rather use random number generator and choose the plane at random by percentage in the inventory of the participating country. that way the chance of getting a Raptor or Felon would be pretty slim and you would get more of Hornet vs Fulcrum or Eagle vs Su-27 matchups with sometimes one side pulling out a Joker from the lottery

This is what I thought the vid was going to be. Without a set number of 'planes in the hangar' or randomized, it's pretty obvious it's going to end up being a constant 33 vs 22 fight. Why would you purposely put yourself at a disadvantage if you're trying to go for the W. Gotta be random.

Interesting concept! =) Would love to see more of this! I would propose a slight tweak, however - go with pre-determined "decks". Agree on amount of fights, pick out that number of aircraft without telling the other guy your picks and pick a new aircraft each round. I don't disagree with having the Raptor in the mix, but pulling it out multiple times cheapens the whole ordeal, imo.

If you have five planes to pick from and put them in a order so have to decide in advance when your best plane flies for more rock paper scissors selection. Never fly the same plane twice.

A classic example of a pilot concentrating on flying the plane rather than watching the attitude and aspect of the enemy aircraft. Hence his repeated crossing of your nose even when he had the engines and aerodynamics to avoid it (had he been watching). A fine display of superior pilot skill GS.

Great video, see lots of potential here. Would be so much fun with teams (2v2/3v3), lots of communication and spontaneous decision making. Pulling from an old trick in game design, adding randomness and scaling up the number of actors is a sure fire way to generate some deliciously fun and interesting scenarios.

Loving the MiG 29, there's something rugged and basic about it. I imagine it's like a stripped out pure racing car where you feel the road, where as the other fighters are more like modern sports cars with all the electric driving assists.

The MiG-29 and the F-15 don't have electronic limiters, the MiG-29 only has an electromechanical control assist. When manoeuvring with these in DCS it feels so much more analog and so much fun imo than the more modern aircraft.

Fairly new to this channel but i've been watching every day. Drewski sent me! Love this idea. Would like to see it be truly random and maybe once a plane is flown it cant be flown again. Maybe even with with planes of certain eras, like a cold war edition, etc. Just two cents for you. Either way, love the channel, love the content, appreciate the entertainment.

What I like to see one day is Former F14, F18, etc vets pilot group up with original crewmates and bring the real skills to DCS so we can all see how it is really done in one massive 30-30 dog fight vs Russian pilots. Wonder who would really win?

Holy cow, I LOVE this idea of random aircraft selection! Maybe next time you can write down a handful of aircraft on a numbered list (maybe 1-5?) and roll a random number generator to decide what aircraft you guys use. Maybe it can work on a tier list as well, number 1 being the lowest preforming aircraft on your list and number 5 being the highest preforming aircraft on your list.

Agree with the other comments on only being able to use the aircraft once. Would also like to see it expanded to a more realistic scenario - head into an AO and begin with a BVR fight, and if you merge, into the dogfight. Should be able to use all weapons available also. Great vid!

How you found yourself using the cobra is very interesting. It doesn't seem like it is generally a good idea, but when you are in a losing position and looking for a desperation play it comes out, and gives decent chances even against the F22. That and as an airbrake of last resort.

I liked your point about not being able to quit a fight because "it's not fair". I'd love to see you and Silk have rematches where the fights are *truly* random. Like, each of you creates a spreadsheet of the content you own (sorted by broad era, maybe, to avoid F-14 vs P-40), then you use an online RNG to generate two numbers, and neither of you has any idea what's coming - and maybe have to sort out what to do (i.e. what's an appropriate assumption based on what shows up) on the fly! F-5E vs. L-39 Albatross? Fight! F-14 vs. Christen Eagle? Intercept and safely get him to divert to an airfield.

I think a fun way to do it, would be for each pilot to assign each of their aircraft a number. Then have the opponent choose a number, only the opponent doesn't know the plane the number is assigned to. That way the opponent ends up choosing the random aircraft.

Just interesting, why you are not responding to enemy maneuvers? Is it technical staff (avoiding stall) or smth? Because it looks strange when one can clearly see that enemy plane started to change trajectory and you start following only after 3-5 seconds.

What these videos prove to me is a lot of the outcomes comes down to pilot skill. The other guy had a real knack/talent of flying across your nose.

What you need is a neutral ref - who spins a wheel for each player and chance decides the match. Like how the weapons were picked in the pit in the Spartacus mini series... Mongrel on mongrel until Charon arrives. Oh, but don't have longshot Ref... he'll throw it so you face the raptor every time... payback is a bitch 😜

speed approaching and occasionally even exceeding Mach 2, detection ranges of dozens of miles, missiles with ranges of dozens of miles, and you still have gun kills within 100 yards.

could do tournament like duels, where you pick 5 or so east jets vs 5 west. 1 advanced, 1 mid and 3 early ( from any generation) , if you win you can keep the plane for next round, but if win again you gotta jump to other (to prevent complete club)
