The leaders of Italy and Germany have strongly rejected ceasefire terms laid out by Vladimir Putin to stop the war in Ukraine, as scores of countries gathered at a two-day summit in Switzerland to discuss ending the conflict.
Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called the Russian president's plan "propaganda" which effectively suggested that Ukraine "must withdraw from Ukraine".

In as much as we continue to comment and talk about peace, a lot of people still think that a meaningful and true peace resolution would only be achieved by stopping the US and Europe's hegemony and their appetite to dominate the whole world. This dominance is an called for, it has really angered the global South. secondly, the use of sanctions by the Us and Europe has led to the sufferings of many nations hence the desire to stop it by force
