COIN DESCRIPTION
Minted from 1897 to 1911, Russian 5 Ruble Gold Coins mark the end of Russia’s last imperial dynasty: the House of Romanov. Containing .1244 Troy Ounces of .900 Pure Gold, each Russia 5 Ruble has a diameter of 18mm.
The reverse of each Russia 5 Ruble Gold Coin features the Imperial Coat of Arms, along with the seal of His Tsarist Majesty: a shielded and crowned double eagle, representing Russia, Kazan and Astrakhan.
Also called the pyatyórka (spelled пятёрка in Russian), the obverse of each 5 Ruble Gold Coin bears the left-facing portrait of Nicholas II-the ill-fated last Tsar of Russia.
Ruling from 1896 to 1917, Nicholas’ reign was shrouded in scandal. Several disastrous military campaigns, a withering economy, and his wife, Alexandra’s mysterious relationship with Rasputin (who she believed could heal her son’s hemophilia), led to the February Revolution of 1917.

Very Nice short and sweet video. The gold coin looks excellent to me. That Camera you are using is awesome. interesting where u got it I just picked up last 3 same 5 ruble from bullion exchange, - 5 Roubles Russia Nicholas II Gold Coin Avg Circ AGW .1244 oz (1897-1911), Random Not many of these around. Most of them melted down by the communists in the 20s and 30s. There is a 5,10,15 and a 7.5 rouble. The 7.5 carries the highest premium of the lot. Eventually, I will get at least one in every denomination. Beautiful coins to keep in the perma-stack for sure! ...I will get it on weekend for review :)

1898 were minted back again in 1930s to pay foreign debt by Communist party that's one of the only dice survived after revolution.

In 1949 Czechoslovakia made 2 silver coins 50 Korun and 100 Korun commemorating his 70th birthday. Both are 50% silver and have a mintage of 1 million.
