1. Eto Moy drug Tom. 1. Eto Maksim i Marina. 2. Toma nyet Kota. 2.U Maksima yest' komp'yuter. 2. U Mariny(i) yest' karta. 3. Tom prines Mashe tsvety(i). 3. Marine 27 let. How do we really describe this in English? To whom? To what? "Time gave Marina 27 of it's years?!!" It translates strangely. 27 leta. 27 summers. The Seasons gave Marina 27 summers? I'm considering a word play here ... 4. Masha lyubit slushat' pop-muzy(i)ku. (pop-muzyku). I put the "I" in brackets as it helps me to recall the "bl" sound. 4. Marina lyubit Maksima. 5. Masha lyubit smotret' fil'my(i) s Tomom. 5. Marina gulyaet s Maksimom. 5. Maksim gulyaet s Marinoy. 6. Tom i Masha zhivut v Moskve. 6. Marina dumaet o Maksime. 6. Maksim dumaet o Marine. @@lilyrose4191you did great 🥳 Just few moments. У Тома нет кота. (If we’re talking about who has something or somebody, we put “У” first) Long time ago there was a word «лето» in Russian and, if I’m not mistaken, it had few meanings: warm season and 365 days. Historically we use this word when we talk about age or years. Marina is 27 years old. 1 (21, 31, 41…) год 2, 3, 4 (22, 32, 43, 54…), года 5 (6, 7, 12, 10…) лет Антону 1 год. Маше 34 года. Мне 20 лет.

@@IloveRussian Thanks so much! Oh yes, I knew about "y" (U) I think I typed a bit too quickly, lol! Thank you for the explanation regarding "I am 20 years old". Let = Warm season/year. Antonu = 1 year and Mashe = 34 years. Thanks for the information and the excellent video ... and for the encouragement! 😃

Very useful video. One of the most feared characteristic of the Russian language explained 😆 I'm really glad cases are starting to make sense for me as I hear the language more and more with time. This thing would never get into my head. 🤯
