"The Italian and Swiss expeditions of 1799 and 1800 were undertaken by a combined Austro-Russian army under overall command of the Russian General Alexander Suvorov against French forces in Piedmont, Lombardy and Switzerland as part of the Italian campaigns of the French Revolutionary Wars in general and the War of the Second Coalition in particular."

@@michaelbondarenko8904 I guess there actually were such war leaders. Luigi Cadorna in Italy, feldmarschall Hoetzendorf in Austro-Hungary and Enver Pasa in Ottoman Empire. All of them fought during WW1 and were particularly incapable

@@michaelbondarenko8904 I think I get where you're coming from. But I'd prefer movies about those that inspire and edify greatness. Such as Suvorov, Alexander the Great, Yi Sun Shin, Marlborogh, Zizka, and others I have been researching and whom I call "Invincibles."

@@datguy8006 Kutuzuv was a strategical genius, but not a tactical one, most russian generales considered him also a fool and liked to disobey orders and ignore the chain of command, the russians won at Borodino mostly because Napoleon mistakes. Bagration was the MVP of the Russian campaign of 1812

Weirdly enough Suvorov still venerated in the Soviet Union after his military accomplishment against Napoleon, and used as a propaganda material during the Great Patriotic War.. there's even a medal named after him (Order of Suvorov)

The idea of having a monarch is appealing because that monarch represents and embodies the nation (that's why nations on the past arę often reffered to as for example: "Kings England" "Kaisers Deutchland", "Tsars Russia", etc.)

@@MG-ed6fc During the uprising, the Poles cut the entire Russian garrison in Warsaw, which was not even armed. Naturally, the Russian troops were very angry with this event and took revenge. The generals could not calm down the ardor of the soldiers and we will avenge our fallen comrades. This can happen to any army.
