It hasn't been that long!

Yeah Bear can be a little frustrating like that. I believe it was supposed to be a crossing point between Old Burg and carping with wet bread and potatoes and starting to use the more advanced Boilies. So sometimes it becomes really active and you can use Boilies and catch more Leather and Mirror carp, and others it drops off and you're forced to use potatoes and wet break for simple Common Carp. Then other times it just falls flat with no hot spots. So I always skip it completely when leveling an account.

Yeah unless you know for sure that a certain spot is hot because people are mentioning it in chat, it can be super frustrating just randomly trying to fish it.

Ground bait always depends on the main bait you use. If you have tuti fruiti boilie as your main bait then you make a ground bait with tuti fruiti chopped up boilies and tuti fruiti dip. Any pellets or other flavors of ground bait additives that are also tuti fruiti you throw those in as well. If you use two different flavors you split them both up and put both flavors in the ground bait. I have an Amber Lake video that talks a bunch about ground baits. If you've got the model ones for anything else than carps you can use them for carp fishing. I used mine for a very long time and they did just fine. If you're patient and you don't mind getting a few extra silver I'd go with the Fortuna carp 360xh. They are stiffer, have a better pull, more kg weight limit, not much more expensive than the model ones, and give more xp per fish because they are a higher level rod in the skills screen. They will last forever. I personally fished carp with the model ones till I got enough silver to buy the 360xh and used them ever since for every type of big fish bottom fishing.

Line wear is usually because of wear on your rods guide lines. The lower the line guides the faster the line wears. Other than that normal wear on line is usually pretty fast anyway. However the longer the spool of line you buy, the more durable it is. So a 450m spool of line is going to last longer than 300m spool of line.

@@R3ZNOVV Remember as your line wear increases your lines drag weight decreases. So a 28kg line at 50% wear is only 14kg. Personally if I'm fishing big fish with my line I change mine out at about 25-30%. If I'm fishing small fish that don't pull hard I let mine go to 40% then change it. But it's up to you.

Guess you didn't listen to what I said in the video. I said that Bear Lake wasn't active right now, but when it does become active these are the spots that always become hot.

Not outdated info. When Bear becomes active all the spots I've mentioned are always the ones that become hot. It's always the same at Bear, always the same hot spots, always the same clips. I mentioned this in the video. I also mentioned that we just came off a two week hot spot run and now we have to wait till the next hot spot run again. At which point, these exact same hot spots will become active again.

Not outdated info.....He more than explains that Bear is a hit and miss lake. If you're confused about bolles and ground baits, you can use potato cubes with decent results........Awesome information here folks!
