The conflict resulted in the creation of the independent nation of Bangladesh.

Not just 1971 War, USSR Russia always helped us in all war imposed on us. These things are taught in our history books but these things also need to be taught in Russian history books also, bcoz majority Russians dnt know why Indians support them.

После обретения независимости Индия вела 5 крупных войн....3 с Пакистаном (Индия выиграла все 3 войны) и 2 с Китаем в 1961 и 1967 годах (Индия проиграла войну 1961 года... потому что Индия и Китай имеют несколько прочных дипломатических отношений, поэтому Индия никогда не рассматривала возможность присутствия Китая как угрозу, поэтому индийские солдаты не были хорошо экипированы на границе Индокитая по сравнению с границей Индо-Пакистана, но мы отомстили, когда китайская армия снова напала на Индию в 1967 году, и на этот раз китайская армия потеряла 300 солдат, а Индия потеряла 93 солдата....и Индия выиграла эту войну

I have lived in Russia for six years, I like Russia very much, the people there are very nice, history is witness that India has been a peace loving country and India has not attacked any country in future. But India had lost in the Indo-China war in 1962 because at that time India had less army than China and India had never had arms, hence India had lost. India had never lost before in history

Unfortunately, despite India liberating Bangladesh in 1971, still Bangladesh hates India so much and reason is one and only that is "religion". Currently, they are boycotting India, and even after enduring considerable brutality from Pakistan, they have resumed friendly relations with them, once again due to religious affiliations. It's disheartening that for some people, religion takes precedence over humanity. Hindu population is constantly declining in Bangladesh and almost extinct in Pakistan due forceful conversion but on the other hand in India there population is increasing very fast.

India helped us with arms but we were fighting for the freedom of our country.In 1971 December 3 When the Pakistani Air Force attacked India, they attacked Pakistan in retaliation for the attack. But Indian people want to take all the credit.

I still get goosebumps to think, as it was like making impossible to possible 😢 But it is not the only reason why every Indian irrespective of their personal opinions on home-growned politics has been loving Russia from their heart unitedly for generations after generations 😊....Also Russia supported India on many other things and India also try as much it can,😅 to help Russia every way possible. We never damaged our relationship due to huge western pressure and sometimes seduction also, because we know very well that as someone's character never change it is true for countries also😁 that why we never go against Russian interests in any situation, we never stop trades with Russia showing m**dle finger to all Western sanctions 😂...And as the times passes this relation has rooted heart to heart connection among civilians and gone beyond diplomatic relation❤ That's why entire Europe and US including China could never digest this friendship as it is the only country to country friendship still maintaining it's legacy effortlessly. Lots of love from India to our Russian brothers and sisters. 🥰

The thing with the yanks is that even now they give confused signals, on one hand they say that India is an important part of their Indo-Pacific strategy and on the other hand they lecture India on freedom of religion. I guess their foreign policy was and is still after all based on religious affinity with Pakistan.

India and Russia are both countries best defined as an enigma. Apart from the Russian women what I love about the Russians is that like Indians they don't negotiate on their values unlike the Americans, Europeans or even China. They stand their ground to what they believe is to be right and to a great extent India is the same in their outlook on various issues. We Indians don't forget timely help given to us by the Russians. Many nations have tried to break this friendly streak between Russia and India but have failed. Today too when Russia is in trouble globally with the ongoing war in Ukraine, nations have tried to pressure India but we have made it clear we don't ditch our friends in their time of need. They have helped us when we needed them the most and today when we can, we will extend the same help to Russia. No country can break the great Russian - Indian love affair as it was built on trust and a steady history. Even today if you are a Russian visiting India and if you face any difficulty be rest assured Indians will go out of their way to help you. That's the level of trust and respect Russia has earned in the hearts of every Indian. The Americans don't understand this kinda relationship as to why is India so pro Russia well we have time tested history as to why we love Russia. I hope that bond last forever. Russia is aware of India's unwavering support that is why today when you look at all of Russians partners including china too but when it comes to trust if there is any country that Russia trust today the most it's no surprise it's India. I would love to visit Russia someday for sure, i like to learn more about the rich russian culture more.
