You should know I have been and still am studying Russian history and culture extensively from the founding of the Kievan Rus in the 10th century all the way to modern times. Just a couple days ago for instance I watched a long documentary about Alexey Pajitnov and the creation of Tetris. You are of course correct in proclaiming that gopniks are not anywhere near all that Russia has to offer. But, it is a part of Russian culture just as cowboys and big macs are not all but yet apart of American culture. I am learning all I can about Russian culture and history as I wish to immigrate to Russia and hopefully someday become a Russian citizen. I am in the midst of learning the Russian language. I study history and teach English. If you are concerned with my comments fine, but don't presume please.
