Russian Navy Dancers onboard USS Blue Ridge while in Vladivostok, Russia for Victory Day May 2010. The surface they are dancing on alternates between slippery and wet (it was raining earlier) to the non-skid that doesn't give at all.

I was born and raised in Vladivostok, and as I was growing up I remember seeing a lot of American sailors just casually walking around our town, and I used to chat with some of them, although my English was pretty bad back then, but it was a nice opportunity to practice the language with the native speakers, so it was fun. Like I even exchanged 100 rubles for 50 bucks with one of them, which was nice lol (1$ = 30rub back then) but after 2014 and the whole Crimea situation - US ships stopped arriving to Vladivostok, not Japanese and South Korean ships though, so I've learned a few curse words in Korean and Japanese as the result lmao

A few blown out o the skies directly by Russian/Soviet Pilots as well. By the way, how many ICBM's were pointed at your beloved hometown SF?? I think very highly of the Modern Russia, but in 1985 you should have had a bit more common sense. A great deal of the culture, history and character you mention was eliminated by Soviet Chekists and other Communist Bastards up to and including your beloved 1985. Too many in America may find this dancing of men "effeminate". But, it's NOT. It's "graceful" and beautiful. Russia has culture. While, unfortunately, America has become paranoid schizophrenic culturally. Which is sad and ridiculous.

@@IntrovertedOreo , I did not word it the way you just did. I did not say America is just completely "uncultured". I say our culture is very patchy nowadays. Some traditional culture still exists. But, this country has been so critically divisive because of people being so easily offended by every little thing. With statues of people who were considered very important to American culture being destroyed because of false indictments is an erasure of some of American culture. So many false narratives about American history being espoused. The pop culture of this generation is worse than ever. For a good part of it.
