6 жыл бұрынWe were treated to a rare goodwill visit in Portsmouth England, from the Russian Navy ship Vice Admiral Kulakov, a deck tour was organised, which was very popular with ship enthusiasts.

I remember a Russian warship visiting Portsmouth in 1996 or 97, back then it was customary for the Flag Officer Portsmouth to invite the Captain and senior officers to his residence in the dockyard for a quick welcome drink however the Russians turned up with a few bottles of Vodka:). Many toasts made with Admiral Rankin praising the Russians and vice versa, trouble was each toast involved drinking a full glass of Vodka, (with about four shots in one glass:), suffice to say after a couple of hours our Admiral was three sheets to the wind, the Russians being vodka drinkers were simply tipsy but everyone had a great time.

The Russian Udaloy-class destroyers are my favorite ships of their fleets and their best looking ships. A friend once called them "Spruance clones."

they're also extremely capable ASW ships. they have great sonars and i don't mean just great by russian standards and the weapons are good too. two udaloy's and a sovremenny, man that's a submarine's nightmare right there.

I was lucky enough to get on board her in Liverpool some years ago . Incidentally she turned up at the wrong pilot station and cost someone in the region of £30,000 in extra port fees .

It looks like a Udaloy I. I figured they were upgraded to the Udaloy II which instead of two 100mm guns they have a single turret with two 130mm guns in it as well as more modern missiles.

Only 1 _Udaloy II_ was built, and she's in refit if I recall. The others save for missile armament (slight refit ) and radars remain unchanged.

Просто охреневаю. В 1997 году на подобном корабле "Адмирал Виноградов" заходил в портовый город Токио. Матросы в парадной форме выстроились вдоль борта. Никто не шарахался без дела. Уборкой также не занимались. Всё было надраено до захода...

Pyotr Velikiy or Peter the Great is the best! Beautiful yet intimidating at the sam time... A single ship is designed to deal with a naval carrier group. Yeah, they have never proved their capability on that main task. But the idea and the outcome of the ship design is really cool

You do realize a battlegroup includes one or two SSNs and I am 100% sure at least one of them can fire off a few MK 48 torps before being detected by the Kirov’s weak ASW systems. Additionally I think the CVN airwing of 80 aircraft is very capable of sinking one ship.

Когда я служил в тихоокеанском флоте бпк адмирал пантелеев при в заходе в порт на верхней палубе выходили только швартовые команды и сигнальщики а здесь чуть ли не весь экипаж вышел

Видать БГ-1 сняли,иначе как объяснить.Или они болт забили,что идет плавание в узкости и все должны быть по боевым постам,а на верехней только румыны,боцмана и рогатые в спасиках и швартовых рукавицах.

На любом корабле проекта 1155 отыщу свою антенну( ту которую обслуживал) , а уж на Кулакове где служил и подавно. В 1996г. Кулаков вставал к причалу Мурманска, так мы(швартовая команда) весь переход стояли по бортам , а не бродили как тут.

Robust design, rough finishing, but after all this is just one more war machine with its exact purpose. They did not spent money on unnecessary "polishing" the ship unlike a team on the other side who charges three times their work just because their product is "eye catching".

Duff information. There has been at least one (maybe more) Russian naval visits since Ordzhonikidze in 1956. In 1976, during the detente period, before Reagan ramped up the Cold War, the destroyer Obraztsovy paid a three-day goodwill call.

Смотрю и не пойму,не вижу на шкафуте ни одного моряка,какие то ,,солдаты,, ходят в непонятной форме,больше напоминающей слесарей Газпрома,в пилотках, рабочая форма моряка должна идти с гюйсом,на голове берет, штатный номер, а что на них не пойму, корабль при СССР был сделан сто процентов.

I hope they brought their repair vessels with them for parts, and clean up the fuel leaks when they left.Good to see they cleaned up the rust and gave it a fresh paint job.Must be one of the few serviceable vessels they have, to venture so far from its base.😂

Ты когда-нибудь тонул в одежде? Поди нет, даю подсказку - эту мешковатую бомжевскую робу скинуть с себя в воде намного проще, чем красивую приталенную униформу. Это есть единственный повод почему она так выглядит. Там даже брюки скроены так, чтоб не возиться с гульфиком, а одним движением сорвать клапан спереди, и просто выплыть из них.
