Following a series of ground and flight tests that confirmed the specified requirements, the aircraft were sent to their permanent bases.

The only ture interceptor left in active service. The mig31bm is one of the best in its class. The counterpart for mig31 is F14 and tornado ADV/F3 which all 3 are in the interceptor role
