Those tires are incredible, I'm blown away with the abuse they can take. I've damaged well made off road tires on sharp lodgepole branches a number of times and I sure as hell wasn't plowing over them like these guys. Very impressive engineering has gone into those machines! If they ever start making LT off road tires I'm buying!

As a development engineer one change to the design I would make would be to lift the hinge point for the rear door to the roof line to allow the top half of the rear door to lay flat on the roof when open. This would make entry/ exit easier and allow to stand upright on lowered rear tailgate.
@andrewwilson8317
@andrewwilson8317 7 жыл бұрын
Matthew Hoopes there is a device called a torsional strut that uses a rotary motion rather than a linear motion like a gas strut. It is quite compact and uses a twisting spring to provide the assistance. Would tuck out of the way in the roof corner and be adjustable to provide the right level of assistance.

It would be necessary to work on the wing structure more productively.The impression that the slip on the clean water can be reduced by raising the pressure under the wing, which will allow to push more intensively due to the water vortex.And now its efficiency is only used half.Work brothers!

Goes to show you, horsepower being it very low means nothing. Its all about a high torque diesel with great gear options. I have a front wheel assist Kubota tractor with several attachments, snowblower, level blade, snow and dirt buckets, lawn mower deck. This 18 hp. in my tractor is amazing, i use synthetic oil and high end diesel, in 16 years its never not started. Also i just plug it in here in north east North Dakota and it gets VERY frigid outside in the winter. Cold nights -15 to -40 c. or f. at that point Celsius and Fahrenheit are about the same. Sorry to carry on the Sherp is amazing. The tires are revolutionary for their multi use roll which they are a great fit. And i guess i am plugging the durability of Kubota engines.

If Canadian politicians would only get heads screwed on straight and realize the great benefits there could be by giving the USA the big fat finger and build trade with Russia we could learn a lot from Russian engineering an opening up the north way more cost effectively. Russian's are great people to work with too in my experience when I was doing design work on armoured vehicles.

Well well how stupid are you. The largest flow of goods in the world is across the US-Canada border. It amounts to 75% of Canada's trade. But it would not be so great for us Canadians if the US were not the largest economy in the world. And of course has things we don't have. Like fruit and vegetables grown in winter. And Russia. Well I speak with my two Russians friends every week. One just lost his jobs as a customs specialist at a large brokerage firm because the Russian economy is shrinking due to sanctions. It has slipped below the level of Canada's. SO it is a good idea to diversity and increase trade with Russia but the idea of giving the US the finger is not possible or not smart.

Speak in facts and not semantics. A growing list of Canadian politicians are no beginning to realize the the risks of not diversifying away from so much US reliance. Does CETA ring a bell? And where will Canada be when the US can no longer use sanctions on the BRICS et al because they no longer work. They know they will lose the end game because the US only thinks in terms of win lose. The US is already attacking Canada over NAFTA because so many countries are walking away from the US for more equitable players. Why do you think African countries want to deal with China and Russia as apposed to the US. The list of the 23 countries which are creating new swap lines outside of the dollar include China, Russia, India, and surprisingly, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom. This means that the Eurozone itself is abandoning the dollar, and preparing for transition to a new central banking system. To facilitate the transfer of currencies and swap lines, there needs to be a bank of sufficient size and stature to aid in handling of this monumental task. One year ago, China, along with the BRICs nations of Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa, loaned money to a new financial institution they established and labelled the BRICs bank. This bank was created with the intention of bypassing the dollar, and allowing free trade to occur between nations without the need to trade for dollars first, as is currently the format under the petrodollar system. In fact, the new BRICs bank will function both as a bank of international settlement, as well as a lender of last resort, eliminating the need for the BIS and IMF, which currently reside under dollar dominion. The only thing that stands in the way of the world’s final rejection of the dollar is the wavering trust that Saudi Arabia and OPEC have with the U.S. in assuring oil transactions remain denominated in dollars under the 1970’s Petrodollar agreement. But as the world has seen recently, even the Saudi kingdom is hedging towards a new global system, and has publicly stated that their ties to the U.S. are open for re-negotiation. Russia and China have outlined plans to create a 100 percent gold-backed currency system to replace the US dollar as the world’s dominant currency. The Central Bank of Russia has been steadily amassing vast gold reserves since 2015 - accumulating 1,828.56 tons by the end of 2017 - making it the fifth largest gold reserve in the world.

This may be a bit of a crazy idea but a means of locking two together with single driver control would make it unstoppable? It would be along the lines of the Haggljnds Bv206 / Viking? They could be driven as two separate vehicles or linked to become one? This would be a pretty unique market selling point but would all ow a single operator greater cargo capacity? Got to be worth thinking about?

Imya Familia wow, that will be amazing. Already in awe of the Sherp. From an Engineering point of view it is very impressive. It follows the less is more mentality and excels at it. No snorting great v8 or plumes of black smoke needed. I think it will lend itself to fully electric power very well? That would be a first but for environmentally sensitive areas a requirement.

Imya Familia of course the downside is his incredible vision is going to be copied by everyone else. There will be a cut price Chinese replica on the market at half the price. Shame really because as an engineer I can see the purity in the design and can see so many uses for it. It would make a viable triage vehicle for post tsunami work or flooding like we have had and are having at present in Bangladesh.? The light weight makes it helicopter underslung load deplorable. This vehicle will save lots of lives. The low ground pressure would be excellent in sandy desert operations? I don't say this lightly but I really believe it is capable of circling the Globe? Tundra, muskeg,snow ,ice, bring it on!
