Foreign cooperation doesn't necessarily mean putting your trust in someone's hands. It is a question of which cooperation or business deal benefits you more. This is international politics and they are trying to decolonise themselves. Russia and the then USSR supported our liberation struggle. America supported apartheid in South Africa and provided intelligence that led to Mandela's arrest and incarceration. While I respect your opinion, I will like to tell you that the Russians deal better with Africans than the west.
