Sergey is too good for this world

I have to say this is the only thing I don't like about Turkey. I deliberately won't buy from those guys so they lose out. I find shops were they let you walk around freely without being harassed. I know you said you didn't mind but just watching this had my anxiety levels up 😂. That guy at the start will be looking for foreigners all the time and if you buy off any of his "friends" they will charge you top prices. Its a well known trick. Turkish people are very friendly but you have to be very careful. Say a firm no thank you, they won't be offended.

The man was trying to get you lost so his buddies could attack you maybe. Steal your wallet, phone, passport. You need to learn to say no Sergey😂🤣😂

Sergey - you must learn to say no! My husband is like you, he doesn't want to be rude so he follows the men and goes into the shops. He has learned that the only way to get rid of them is to be forceful and say NO. They don't bother me, I am like a very strict school teacher and when I say no they nod their head and move on. If they keep talking, say 'Don''t Speak. Don't Speak'' in a forceful voice but not rude. Keep saying it until they shut up then say 'Thank you, but no. No.' Keep looking at them in the eye saying 'No, I just want to walk. until they get the message. Keep repeating. You don't have to be rude, but you do have to be forceful. Like a very strict school teacher talking to naughty children. The first time you do it you might feel uncomfortable, but the more you do it the better you get at it. It works. Try it. And never buy from the people they take you to. Their commission will be added to the price you pay. Same goes for anyone taking you to a hotel.

Sergey you are too polite. You should just tell him you are not interested. This guy was looking too anxious to solicit you to maybe relieve you of some or most of your money. This would make me suspicious and I wouldn't follow him anywhere. You have to be careful. I notice he was targeting you coz maybe he knew you were tourist or foreigner. I don't see him bothering the local ppl. He was harassing you and not letting you browse around at your leisure expecting you to follow him everywhere. I would find this annoying and I would turn around and walk in the opposite direction. He would get on my nerves. And doesn't seem to take NO for an answer. He is taking you to expensive shops marked up and this guy probably gets commission on sales . 🇨🇦

Agressive businessmen. I understand why they want to push up sales, but Americans don't tolerate that sort of thing. I get phone calls daily trying to get me to buy one thing or another. I hang up. Often they seem to be scammers or from other countries. You have to be really careful about people who want to copy your credit card number. I would only pay in cash in this sort of market. I would keep my hand on my wallet which I keep in the front pocket.
