On Pickle monthly wipe US vanilla server. One glitch I encountered was that on some server restarts. For no apparent reason, all of my industrial crafters would be "turned off" Once the servers came back up. After this happened for the 4th time I hooked all of the industrial crafters to a repeat switch that sent 1 power to their "turn on" input 😂. That solved that pesky problem.

On ways to make the receiver more energy efficient. I wonder if a memory switch could be used rather than an XOR to control the on and off. Pass the receiver to set and have a branch pushing the reset. Map the output to on and the inverted output to off.

Great vid, thanks! i menaged to make simplified version work very easily thanks to this. Timers for crafting module seem to be working when set to 1 second, but on discord you said you make it 7 for those who might be wondering as was I :)

wow this looks great but complicated lol, is there any chance you know how to wire up a design that tells when a box is full? I'm trying to use 2 boxes and the 2nd box as the indicator that box 1 is full to power a light, but im having issues in the light being on when no material is in the system, regardless if box 1 is full or not

For the 32 item sorter. It can be expanded to basically include everything within Rust. In game, there are categories for items. Does 1 category take up 1 "item" or does it include everything under that?

Sorry if I missed the explanation but why use RF and not just cables? Is it to hide the fact that for example an external TC is crafting? you can hear it... Not sure why...

Quick question. How do you get the nice signs? Like the font and everything? I'm pretty new to this and the team doesn't understand it at all. Some signs for what each switch does would be great but it looks less nice using the paint sign feature. I would love to use something like what you're doing here.

It requires the Sign Artist plugin to be installed on the server, a way to copy/paste a downloadable link, and something to make the graphics with. My workflow is as follows: 1. Make the graphics in whatever program (I use Snappa) based on the RUST sign pixel size. 2. Download the graphic as an image and upload to Dropbox. 3. In Dropbox, copy the sharable link for the image. 4. In RUST with the Sign Artist plugin installed, stand in front of the sign and use the text commands from Sign Artist to paste it on the sign (you have to replace the "0" at the end of the paste with a "1" to make it instantly downloadable. It might sound like it is labor intensive, but it's actually really easy. A basic sign takes me like 5 minutes to complete. I hope this answered your question!

ive made mine but when it doesnt have the components to (say ran out of what is need) the said conveyor stays on is it meant to do that?

You know what... it would stay on until it received the missing components because it uses the filter pass to turn itself off. This would be a problem if those components became available during a different cycle. I hadn't considered that! I'll have to figure out a way to ensure it turns off once its cycle has completed if it's missing components. Thank you for catching this! I'd love to feature your comment in the update video if that's okay with you (totally cool if not :)).

Have headache just trying to listen to all this x sighs x .... Can you socially explain in simple terms to me, if there way to transport items/ore/farm through the piping system faster? So, I know how there's a filter system, but i dont fully understand it personally. So let say i brung home 30,000 metal ore for example, with everys tack is a 1000 in the box. Know how usually takes what, about 100 ore every other second over time? Is there, anyway, to make it transfer the ore in quicker amount of volumes - like every 500 or 1000 amount every second, instead of every 100 or bits at a time? Just trying to learn how to transfer thing faster and make process faster - any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!! And side note, can you also explain to me what filter does - like i dont understand what buff thing does and rest of filter system - concept of knowledge wise. (thanks)

You can take your input box and use an industrial splitter to split into three outputs, then attach a conveyor to each output. From the outputs of the conveyors, put that to an industrial combiner and into your destination box. This moves things 3x as fast. Of course you can scale this up to have more conveyors to move things faster but then you have more splitters/combiners and more power usage

@@FluentBuild you have me intrigued ... This the only way to do this? Guessing can't do so by anything doing with the filter system? Sorry if I sound like I noob, I'm still learning electric and piping system, after mastering building over many years of building lol so I aim to try and master electrical this year...

@@cowdy293as far as I know. Each conveyor moves 60 items per stack per 5 seconds (up to 12 stacks). So if you have 20 stacks of 1,000 stone then 1 conveyor will max pull 60x12=720 stone into the next box. Adding more conveyors seems to be the only way to make this faster. There is a buffer setting on the filter which I have not used but I believe it can ensure that X amount is deposited in the destination box (e.g. if you have an origin box with 1,000 stone and set the buffer to 500 then it will pull 60 in until the buffer is full and deposit 500 into the destination box all at one time). So this does not really help with the pulling of resources from the origin box it would seem.

@@FluentBuild interesting ... I appreciate the info, good throwing this out for other like myself that may not know as much educationally. Clears the air a bit. Nonetheless, love learning more about pipe line and electrical stuff - maybe hopefully in future be more of way to control XYZ amount you transfer through the filter system. Really surprised you can't!
