The Maine Woods

Күн бұрын

This old trapper cabin at Nine Mile on the St. John River was built by Camille Beaulieu. He died in 2006. In 2015 the "Lost Cabin Hunters" who are now called the "Maine Cabin Masters" renovated the cabin installing a standing seam metal roof and flooring. In this episode I returned to the cabin to clean up the site and straighten out the cabin so I can then jack and level it. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the wildlife, and the sights and sounds of nature. Campfire cooking steak (venison) fajitas with avocado salsa and sautéed chanterelles and peppers and hammock camping with my dog.
This cabin is an official North Maine Woods campsite and is open to the public on a first come first served basis.#logcabin #offgrid #cabinbuilding

We stayed across from where you are at last year for our moose hunt. We did venture over there and the transformation you have done is crazy. There was a tree across the roof and the door was wide open. Had a huge bull the first morning right in front of the camp that we chased around for awhile. We went up stream and waded across 12 inches of water to get over there. Keep up the good work. Awesome spot.

Stayed at the campsite. We scouted it and brought a trimmer with us and cleaned it up some and set up a few tents. It was home for ten days. We fished some with no bites. Met the guy who lives in the last camp and searched for the geo cache at the other camp but didn't end up finding it. We had moose bellering everynight echoing over the river.
