I recommend a magnetic bowl. It makes life so much easier with those tiny bolt. They are nearly impossible to find once they hit the floor.

First thing I did man was go to steel spur in my stampede 4x4 vxl nothing more irritating than thanking your rig out and then five seconds later hear the motor spin up and nothing move! I sent you a email also bro. Another great vid!

Yeh that pinion out of the box strips that spit gear. Did it to mine.

hey man!! great idea on the sway bar kit. I wanna see if it actually does much. From the ones I've had experience b4 they were just mostly for show, usually the geometry is wrong and ineffective due to the thin bar itself.

I couldn't find these replacement parts in the Rustler 4x4 vxl websites and looks like the highest spur gear in the website is the 54T and the one you inserted was 56T. Thanks

Gotta love a sharp spur lol. Great job with this Stevo! I am debating getting the sway bars. Really am cool with how it runs stock for general bashing but I do think I might end up getting them in the spring.

I kind of understand putting a larger pinion gear makes the car faster. But what is the idea behind increasing the size of both gears? Thanks for the help.

Stevie. You must loosen your sway bolts that are holding the bars. Not to be right they must move freely. Also question the difference of the spirit stock why a diff size. I thought the motor and pinion gear have no mesh adjustment due to no slide window or that plastic two hole set up

I mean like i have a rustler now and im thinking if i have to do those things or not And yeah do i have to change the bearing adapter i heard many people saying that the stock bearing adapter that is plastic it might get molten so i thought i would change that bearing adapter to aluminum one so the problem is mixed but i dont know how to do all those upgrades and i dont have the tools to do that, Can you reply please do i have to change the bearing adapter or not?

Amazing vid man

My spur fear has stripped twice after riding it like 5 times. I’m pretty sure it’s because the pinion gear is misaligned with the spur gear, like it is more forward than the spur gear so the pinion screw strips the spur gear. How can I fix this!

What are the sway bars even for?

When you put your slipper back together you don’t have a bearing on your upgrade blue bearing holder, that is going to create vibration and you will be going through slipper part quick.

Would you happen to have a nitro Revo wide ratio transmission gear, still in the package I could buy, cause all the hobbyshops are closed, in Michigan around the city

You going to put some paddle tires on it and run it in the snow? I was doing that last week and killed my esc and have to wait until I get a new one Friday to take advantage of the snow we have. Front tires are backwards. LOL!

I've only had this car for just over a month or so. and i have so much stuff breaking just from wear. a few things from landing some mild jumps. I've been running it stock on 3s. so it tops out at about 40 mph. Bearrings have melted, driveshafts have proken. shock caps have popped off splashing oil everywhere, diff cups are giving in, sand is getting in to the diffcases somehow. the flexing piece of the wheeliebar has broken, wheelhibs front and back has been replaced with rpm, driveshafts and shocks with gpm as the stock cant take a hit from a pebble without breaking hubs, casters and bending shock shafts. the motor is mismatched considering the weight of the car and being delivered without any heatsink of fans. i'm going to have to replace the diffhubs with gpm aluminium, and quite possibly the diffcasing as well. the car should just cost a fortune from the start and have all the upgrades already'

What does a sway bar do?

you dont need to remove all that to change the spur..just three screws and bearing..spur comes right off..plus a 56 spur with a 14 pinion...sounds like a awful gearing
