Hello everyone,
In this story I am restoring an old rusty jeweler's anvil. Also I am making a wooden stand for the anvil.
it was a restoration that took my time at some points. I paid great attention to the precise miter on the anvil.
I achieved a very beautiful result with its silky touch, bright appearance and silky wooden stand

I came across your channel by accident when you restored your little bicycle wrench/ spanner. I’m glad I did as you have exceptional attention to detail. Not only was the anvil restored to perfection but the care and attention to the mounting stump and timber was amazing.

Learning about more hand tool use by watching your videos. Also like your use of cardboard for burnishing your finish. It would be interesting to know what the thick finishing material was that you applied to the wood base. Thanks for yet again a fascinating renovation and creation.

Sweet, I could see that being a very handy size anvil for small pieces, but as nice as you have that finished I don’t think I would have the heart to use use it. Nice touch installing threaded insert for the hold down bolts. Thank you for the video sir.

Lots and lots of sanding but you made it really mirror like. Interesting items - I can understand this small anvil would have been used for more delicate work of a jeweler. Beautiful wood, detailed works on filling those holes. Nice work!

Another great save! I love your hand-cranked drill press-is that a fly wheel on the top? I’ve never seen one like that before.

New tidbit of information: I used some Fast Orange (a grease and grime remover for mechanics, sold in USA) to remove some really nasty grease and grime off of a few tools. The Fast Orange loosened the yucky paint and removed rust from my tools at the same time!
