One of my favourite segments from This Time. Love how passively combative they are, Alan always trying to get one over on her and occasionally manages it! Glorious. That's *exactly right*, Jenny.

Really? If a guest ever treated the host with such obvious disdain and flagrant contempt, their career would be over. Even if the host is as offensive as Alan. How is it funny when her attitude is so unrealistic? She is supposed to be the straight character to Alan's gags.

I love that they hate each other but have to work together… I think Ruth wants Alan’s spot..and Alan doesn’t want hers..it makes the tension work.
