A glorious spinto soprano. Under recognized as an A-list talent. People who did not get the recording contracts were often minimized. Unfair to them and to us. RIP Wonderful Lady!

What a soaring final Bb. Ruth was an interesting lady, rather complex. But, she was a really fine singer, who I'd dare say sang better in "retirement" than during the height lf her career. I remember hearing her sing high note after high note for her soprano students, always with a little shimmer and a hint of "see that's how it's done". May she rest in peace.
