I love your explanation of calf sharing. I was raised on a farm and we milked morning and night and let the calves have the last of the milk. I remember numerous times when our cows had mastitis. We only bottle fed if we had too. Your explanation actually seems so much better in the long run. I have neighbors who wean calves and they are noisy. I now understand why you bottle feed. Thanks for the life lesson we need.

WOW! I’ve never heard of that before but INCREDIBLY SMART!!! That’s without a doubt a LOT of hand milking! I think it’s a very inspired way of doing it! I think you did an amazing way of explaining it. It’s easy to tell that your main objective is to have healthy & happy animals. I bet the boys love their new chores of giving the calves bottles. Congratulations on your successful birth of your two calves and your abundance of veggies. ❤️🥰🙏🏻🇨🇦

I appreciate your explanation about calf sharing. I am a city gal that drinks milk from a carton. So, thank you for doing it the way you do. I will never understand why others will judge the way you milk your cow when it is what you think is best for you. It makes a lot of sense to me! Thank you for sharing the birth of your twins. This was so amazing to watch. We have calf shared and have a cow in labor as I type! We may still move forward with the way we have handled cows and calves thus far. But watching this was like sitting with a mentor! I learned so much about what to expect in timing for birth and afterbirth and calves standing and even milking and the length of time for a mama to have colostrum! Thank you for sharing and teaching!

Beautiful baby calves!! Thanks for sharing this with all of us! Although I lived on a farm when I was a very small girl, I'd never seen a calf born. Or any other farm animal for that matter. My mom was very old fashioned and kept me away from anything like that. I do hate that I missed all the opportunities that were there. Glad you're letting your children experience the wonder of it all. I really enjoy your channel and have made a few of your recipes and intend to do more. Again, thanks for sharing your cooking, chores and life with us. God bless you and yours!

Such a great video! Your care for all of your animals is so amazing to watch. We kid-share with our dairy goats, so I can completely appreciate and understand why you calf-share the way you do. I love that you mentioned animals not having eternal souls. So many today just don’t understand and/or don’t want to believe that. It is refreshing to see a family enjoy and care so well for their animals and yet keep a godly perspective on their purpose.
