I remember my mom coming home and surprising me with a gilford the lighting tin after school and I almost cried it was my favorite card I was so excited lmao. As a child I only cared about the promos.

I actually missed this era of yugioh i never got to open these tins, but still pretty cool to see.

Every time I would go to a Walmart they wouldn’t have any of the cool tins like DMG, but they always had Panther Warrior. Learnt to love him lmao.

Gosh opening tins was one of my favorite things as a kid. All the OG tins, loved every single holo card even when they were bad haha

I remember me and my 2 best friends saving up to buy one of these tins each. My 2 friends got the Exarion Universe tin and the DMG tin, I ended up getting the Rocket Warrior tin. We all have our tins till this day and keep our decks stored in them :)

Love the vorse raider tin. Vorse raider is the peak of beatdown strategy. Very good pulls from these tins. Way better than the last sub special.

Yessss 60k and the beautiful 2005 tins! My favorite is the Dark Magician Girl tin, followed by Exarion. We got those two with my brother when we were little, spanish ones! I still have the promos! DUDE A DARK SAGE! I LOVED the episode where it was summoned, so many memories. And so minty! Man this was an EPIC special. EPIC. MINT PROMOS. ALL OF THEM. That alone made it great. And the pulls? Cherry on the cake. CONGRATS, TOTALLY DESERVED!

There's an intense nostalgia from these old cards which transports me back 20 years to when they were the currency of the school playground, I still have the vorse raider tin with all my old cards in there (thanks mum). Being young at the time I traded the Promo card for a 2004 blue eyes white dragon. Not sure if that was a good decision, but that blue eyes card has always been my favourite, even in its poor condition i'd never swap it for a mint one! There are a few cards I wish I never traded (BLS, Red eyes, dark magician). Most of us didn't care about the rules or dueling, just enjoyed the trading and collecting aspect!

Ill never forget the time, as a kid, saving every penny for a tin that cost £11. Finally did, took forever! So the plan was to pretended to be ill to get the day off school and run to the toy shop, if I was lucky and my mum would go out the house for errands or something and buy a gilford the lightening tin. I didn’t have house keys so I’d have to put a chair in front of the door and slip out and make the door and chair look like the door was closed from the outside but really it was open so I could come back before my mum came home. She’d kill me if she caught me. Everything went as planned. I was so excited yet so scared. What if the house gets robbed, what if I can’t get back in-when my mum comes back she’ll just see me outside with a tin. Anyway, it worked until I got to the shop and dropped like a hundred coins on the counter and asked for gilford the lightening tin ..The cashier said I was 10p short (like 12cents) I was confused and upset. He let me off and let me buy it ..I went home, got in, moved the chair and ran to my room ..only to see the 10p on my bedroom carpet. I’ll never forget that day..still have the card in mint condition, along with so many more from more tins in this video. I was probably 8yr old maybe at the time, I am now 24. Man this brought back so many good memory’s and so nostalgic..thank you for the vid! ❤️

Panther warrior is my favorite out of these tins. Excellent design, and I never got a chance to get one when I was younger. Also armed dragons are one of my favourite archetypes of all time

Favourite tin for me was Gilford the Lightning, the alternate arts etc for Blue Eyes made it my favourite above the obvious choice of Dark Magician Girl and the Dark Sage you pulled is pretty sweet!

I remember when i turned 10 years old in 2006, my dad took me to Toys R Us and told me to get whatever I wanted. We weren't exactly super wealthy or anything so this kinda blew my mind that he had told me that. I remember getting a few lego sets and the Dark Magician Girl tin, along with some other yugioh cards. Still one of my favorite set of tins Konami has put out. Still have the card and still have the empty tin!
