Building Zoo at it's peak was still very expensive because of how strong it was, it was some time since there was a tier 0 deck and that's why it was such a big deal.

I remember playing during the zoo format, i think the expensive element was the staple main/extra deck stuff...plus it was very much a tier 0 format from memory so demand vs supply was crazy. Interesting format tho (i tried zoo-shaddoll that never worked)

it wasnt really that much cheaper, drident/barrage were really expensive, broadbull was also expensive. Grass wasn't cheap either. And once the set after this got released, everything got super expensive with 100?€ ash afaik
