Mr. Brand good evening. I am looking to get my sport pilot's license. I am looking at trainging facilites from 1.5 to 3.5 hours away from where I live. There isn't anyone in the local Albany NY area that offers sport pilot. I am looking at one place (3.5 hrs from home) in New Hampshire and they use the RV-12's as their training aircraft and everyone says go for it. Then there are two others that offer: - Alpha - Flight Design I am a big guy, 6' 250 lbs and not really sure where to learn, based on plane. Again friends of mine tell me, go with the RV-12, it can handle a large useful load. You had made a comment about flying other light sport aircraft, but didn't alaborate about that others you've flown, yet you picked the RV-12. Would you care to give some feedback on some of the others you have flown? Just trying to hear it from guys like yourself that has that prior experience.
