Really amazing work guys! I think this just took the #1 spot in my future dream airplane list. Well done!

Flying on drag for stability reminds me of riding motorbikes. Using slight rear brake and increased rpm for slow speed stability.

Enjoyed this. Slowly liking this plane more and more. I want one on floats too!

I can sure see the old helio characters in this plane... I had wondered if that impacted the design at all.

A float plane sounds terrific! Design it with the attach points.

i'd like to see more details of that landing gear. How they were able to mount the shocks inside, the lever system used.

Yeah I’m sold

Sling already has the successful Sling HW with a Rotax 916iS. My 2c is that Van's must move forward and incorporate more modern FADEC engines like the one's from Rotax and the ULPower UL520 200 - 220hp series.

I was at Osckosh in 1982 with family friends who had entered a 1940s Luscombe in the classic catagory. I was 14 at the time and had the job of polishing the finger prints out of the polished aluminum surfaces. At the time I followed instructions without question but if I had to do over presently many of the people in the background of this video would have been been at best verbally assalted!

How is that remotely interesting to anyone watching this video? Do you really think anyone came here to find out when you came to Osh and how old you were?
@imkindofabigdeal43082 жыл бұрын
@@slowery43 I found it modestly interesting. Funny anecdote that shares more about what Oshkosh has been and is.

Not sure there's a hole in the market, as it's currently occupied by the Rans S-21, but it's another option in an area of high demand.

Very cool.

I want one! But please please make the cowling shiny aluminium too.

Any idea how slow will it fly solo and at gross weight approximately ???? 😀
@ericktijerino2 жыл бұрын
I want one in floats too! Great to hear some of the design was inspired by the Helio Courier
@watermanveteran71982 жыл бұрын
I want one on floats, three!
@AlwaysStaringSkyward2 жыл бұрын
Ed, you didn't ask the most important question: can it be flown with the doors off so we can skydive out of it? ;-)
@prussiaaero18022 жыл бұрын
Was that Trevor Jacob in the background wondering the same thing?😁
@martinjnee39862 жыл бұрын
No, the most important question is how slow will it fly, soloand at gross???
@NeroontheGoon Жыл бұрын
Ya, don’t jump in a Murphy Super Rebel or Moose and expect good roll response.
@dustin97592 жыл бұрын
How do the dimensions compare to the bearhawk 4 ?
@reidwardle39922 жыл бұрын
Hi. Why's no-one asked if it will be basic aerobatics capable yet? Will it be?
@brent10412 жыл бұрын
What’s the cabin width? Still looks less than 48” which would be a shame.
@martinjnee39862 жыл бұрын
Same as C182
@brent10412 жыл бұрын
So still to small for 2 big guys
@martinjnee39862 жыл бұрын
I think it will be cheaper for everyone, if these two big guys get smaller 😀
@rauldiaz31932 жыл бұрын

I know it's not the same guy, but screw you Rian Johnson for ruining Star Wars. Sorry... had to say it.
@noonyouknow Жыл бұрын
You couldn't show the aircraft the entire time you had the conversation? Two guys talking...... Boring..... Not as informative as LOOKING (at the VIDEO) of the aircraft.
