Looking good. Really good. An impressive use of space, good MPG with the Transit and "all the essentials."

Nice conversion thanks so much for sharing .....my only concern for you is the propane tank does not look secure and was concerned if you vented it ...stay safe but truly cool set up great job
@briansteinberg13817 жыл бұрын
cool design. I haven't seen anyone used the space above the door for shelving. I figure it could be used even for the door side that's open for a duck through

that's a cute looking camper van. I converted a mk 1 golf into a model home for a year.. me my little girlfriend and her big daft dog all manages to sleep well in there rain or shine.. ment a lot of carefully planned trips around Spain playing are guitars on the streets to make money for diesel, if I couldn't find any to recycle.

The toughest part of the job is putting up the ceiling... Can't fight gravity... Well, we can fight gravity. When using a fabric and fabric glue, use strips of heavy duty bi-adhesive tape. It helps to hold the fabric in the right position, without the fabric crashing down to the floor and messing things up. It's also important to use hi temp. resistant glue and avoid glue from heat guns. I'll never use adhesive plastic rolls again. They stretch and pull and bubble with time and heat. LED lights are a must. You can keep the lights on all you want without the battery dying on you. One thing we can't do in Europe is to remove the full sheet metal or metal cage dividing the cabin from the back of the van. It's illegal and you can get a fine and have to go through a revision inspection of the vehicle.

How does the Connect handle the mountains, does it have enough power and the right gearing to handle the steeper grades without max speed dropping down to barely a crawl?
@dbrvansdownbytherivervans96865 жыл бұрын
Slows down on the big hills, but not too bad.. and good MPG.

I would love to live in one of these full time and travel the world but the only thing is there is no place to park the van overnight without the police banging on your window to leave.
@perpetualmotion80904 жыл бұрын
How do people find a safe place to park every night? This is HUGE concern I have plus safety issues.

*Hi, How is to live in a similar camper in the winter ??*
@dbrvansdownbytherivervans96864 жыл бұрын
This specific van doesn’t have a separate heater. In some climates not a problem. Here in CO winter would be tricky.

They posted a link to their website...so they dont have to answer the same question a thousand times. $10k for small vans and $12k for bigger vans.
@RicardoRoams5 жыл бұрын
10 grand for a small van conversion? Seriously? That's ridiculous! I would NEVER pay that outrageous amount!
@900KING25 жыл бұрын
@@RicardoRoams No shit! They know how much an RV costs so they swung for the fences knowing 10 grand is cheaper than 60 for brand new. I mean, I could see 3 or 4 grand max i could find someone to do all of this and more for less than half that.
@poppa41785 жыл бұрын
@@RicardoRoams okay, go buy a new van worth 25-40 grand and convert that or go buy a 3k van and let's see how far it gets you. 10 grand is not an "OUTRAGEOUS" amount.

@perpetualmotion80904 жыл бұрын
I like this one, but would need a toilet.
@STANDupPhilosopher737 жыл бұрын
Needs a small generator and an RV AC unit, with that o could call it home 🏡
@lancebaker13746 жыл бұрын
Then you need a couple vehicle-size batteries, and inverter... If you can't plan your summer trips in the north and your winter trips in the south, you need a real RV, not a tiny thing like this.
@perpetualmotion80904 жыл бұрын
