The border crossing into Baja California, Mexico with our RV did not go as planned. If you plan on driving into Mexico with your RV or van don't make this same mistake. Before you drive into Baja for RV Life and Van Life don't forget this important step at the USA/Mexico border crossing.

Just fyi...the military you saw were Mexican, not American. Very common sight, as in every day a few times a day. Great to see the excitement of the newbies :) And Tacos Manuel...great choice...yummy!

Yes, thank you! It was Mexican military. I misspoke in the video and forgot to correct it with a caption. And you’re exactly right- we have found it to be a daily sight. 😂 Oh and don’t get us started on Tacos Manuel! It started our love for adobada tacos. 🤤 Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video and write this comment. Means so much! 🫶🏼

You made my mouf watta with your description of those tacos 🤤! Bienvenidos a México! I noticed you used the San Ysidro point of entry, I have a Class A and it’s been difficult finding information on this POE with the Class A. Are there special lanes for RV’s or Motorhomes? Any recommendations on it would be appreciated!

Hey nice video, I have a truck similar and I’m thinking in go with my family driving to Cabo. How save is that and some Mexican people that I know don’t recommend me to go with a nice truck , u know mafia like 4x4 truck . How truth is that in ur experience.. I think cab is more free of mafia?

I am curious to know if after all that trouble of returning to the states and re-entering Mexico and getting your Mexican visas stamped, did anybody asked you for them? And when you were done with your trip, what did you do with them, did you have to return them to the Mexican Immigration before coming back to the states?

We found it using iOverlander. It’s south of Rosarito on the west coast of Baja! ☺️

Packaged food that was FDA inspected is never a problem, fresh meats they might make you throw away. As far as alcohol goes I'm sure Mexico tequila is frowned upon in the USA. The Mexican recipe is so much better than the states recipe. With infrared camera technology they already know who you are before you speak with anyone at the border

All you needed to do was go to a federaly checkpoint explain the situation, show your fmm to prove you paid for it and they would stamp it for you for a small fee. Done!

Merry Christmas!! 🎉🎄 Yes, after going back to get our FMM stamped they also stamped our passport and gave both back to us. We made copies of both our passports and FMM’s as well just in case.

PS as a mexican living in the US now and travel back to mexico, NO ONE CARES OR ASKS EVER FOR YOUR FMM, AND ALL YOU NEED IS YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE TO CROSS BACK
