Made from high quality, durable materials
Designed for quick and simple application
Refrigerator Control Board Kit; Use With Dometic DMH1072/ DM2862/ DM2852/ DM2652 Refrigerators. With Power Board: Yes
Dometic provides branded solutions for mobile living in the areas of Climate, Hygiene and Sanitation, Food and Beverage, Power and Control and Safety and Security. Our mission is to make the mobile life easy.This is a replacement lower control board for select Dometic gas absorption refrigerators. The lower control board is the main circuit board on the refrigerator and controls the ignition of the propane and the power to the AC element. This item is compatible with the following models: DM2652; DM2662; DM2663; DM2852; DM2862; DM3862; NDM1062; NDR1062; RM2351; RM2354; RM2451; RM2454; RM2551; RM2554; RM2620; RM2652; RM2662; RM2820; RM2852; RM2862.
Several DIY online videos suggest that if your Frig is not working on AC and you have check the power supply, the glass fuses and heating element, than its likely that the lower control board is bad. So I went this route and purchase a new lower control board, but unfortunately it did not solve the problem. I was fortunate that Amazon allow this item to be returned for a refund. I was pretty much resigned to running the frig off LP gas until I learned that the upper control board could cause this issue. So I purchased a upper control board and it solved the problem. My frig now runs off of AC or gas, depending on if the AC is available. Therefore, if you are have a similar problem with your RV refrigerator, know that replacing the upper control board may solved your problem.

If your cooling system is leaking, that is a big issue and requires the refrigerator to be removed. As long as that is not the issue, then you should be able to fix it by replacing either fuses/breakers or a control board. Parts available here: amzn.to/3z5ssWE This is what we ended up doing in our RV for the fridge: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o96Jg8ZylbPapWg.html

Thank you so much for producing this video! Even after a couple of years it came in handy for me since my Dometic frig in my Jayco fifth wheel all of a sudden stopped working. I started the troubleshooting the electrical system AC first and then found out that I didn't have any DC going to the fridge. Turned out that a fuse was blown (doing its job). So just replaced it and it started right up.

Oh, this is keeper vid! Understand it! Love it! I have a 2021 Dometic RM2454 rv refrigerator running on ac intermittently the lights on on upper control panel start cycling on where ultimately all the lights are on! Have “debugging” this for months! The frig seems to operate normally - but, I can’t catch and analyze system during apparent random cycling. Dometic not helpful. Almost read to replace both upper and lowered control panels.

This is a fantastic video that helped lead me to my problem. I had no power to the refrigerator. I followed your advice up to the DC input power (red wire). The red wire does exit the connector and leads directly to the boiler thermal switch, BUT it also has a hidden fusible link right before the thermal switch. You will see what looks like black electrical tape around the red wire ( this is the fusible link. The fusible link looked good but it was was bad because this is where my power stopped and I had voltage across the link. In a pinch I jumped the link (until I can replace it) and Voila, power restored. Thank you for leading me down the path!

The round item with the popped out button is called a Thermodisk. It is a safety device and will interrupt operation if it is over heated. It can be tested for 12v DC on both sides also. The 5/6 wire harness can be tested plugged in with fine probes. You can place the negative off the mm into the red wire and the positive to the orange, that is power up to the control panel aka the eye brow. Keep on red, the green in the upper right corner is gas down and to black is electric down.

Thanks for this. I happened to have pretty much the same model and was able to troubleshoot my father's fridge within a couple hours and fix it. Due to the summer months the soonest anyone could get out to check it was 3 weeks, which is bad when the camper is being lived in.

Terrific video I learn a lot and saved money from paying a Rv guy come out plus I find out sometimes theses wire connections might be a little corrosion or rust on it I pulled them off sanded a little and jingle bells problem solved, I thought my box on outside was gone but found out wires were just dirty or no good contact

It can be replaced, but you have to pull the whole unit out and take the cooling system off to put a new one on. I personally never liked the refrigerator anyway so I did this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o96Jg8ZylbPapWg.html

Thank you!!! This is really good! Do you have any videos on diagnosing RV/Trailer drive lights are not working when plugged into vehicle. Break and turn signal lights, as well as trailer breaks work, just drive lights are not illuminating.
@SeidelRanch
@SeidelRanch 2 жыл бұрын
I don't, but I would start by narrowing it down by testing the truck outlet and making sure all that is good. If the tow vehicle is sending voltage, then I would test the wires in the trailer connector. Those 7 way connectors sometimes come loose inside and you have to pull the cap off and tighten it. Hope that helps.

Good info. Thanks for adding that. Do you have an AC to DC converter in your RV? They are what usually charges your battery when it's plugged in. This is why it's good to make sure you are getting 12+ volts to your control board using a multimeter. Glad that is all it was.
@jeffpeterson4172
@jeffpeterson4172 2 жыл бұрын
@@SeidelRanch yes I have a converter so I did not believe there advise to start but they mentioned it is only a trickle charge and may not be enough to supply all the 12 volt needed power. So I changed battery and it was cheaper than a $200- $300 board. It was a blessed day
