To each his own but I would think long and hard before investing in one of these. I'm thinking that $40,000+ would pay for a LOT of hotel rooms, and there's no upkeep to be concerned with either. Plus there's lots more hotels and other lodging than there is of campgrounds and camping spaces. Pulling a camper puts more strain on the vehicle you're towing it with. Just write out the pros and cons and see which has the longest list! Bottom line: it's your money and your choice.

We have owned a fifth-wheel for 11yrs and absolutely love it! We tent camped and even camped in a horse trailer when we owned horses! A word to the wise……..right now, the RV industry is cranking out cr&p! Ever since covid, the quality has tanked and never rebounded. We bought our’s new in 2013 and have never had any problems. The thought of trading in on something newer is not going to happen right now. Please, do your due-diligence and DO NOT rely on any sales people to give you the straight scoop! Even some very well-known and high-end campers are having many issues, right now. Have a great week and God Bless🙏

Here is my take on campers. My husband and i owned a camper for many years. We bought used, it had no smells. When I sold it after many years of setting it still did not smell. You never never did #2 in the bathroom. After using the trailer always leave the refrigerator door open and wipe it out. Also park close to camp grounds restroom and use them during the day and to #2.. Only use trailer shower if you have full hook-up. With a class C or Motor home you then have to pull a car or you have that the vehicle with you. If you were comfortable with tent camping look into a pop-up camper. Just don't #2 in your camper. And or upgrade to a 3/4 ton truck you will be able to pull just about any thing.

Hey youngins it's Mims Howse on youtube! U might remember me and my husband. We live in sc and have a Lil camper. It's a wolf pup. It's one axel. It's all we need and love it. We didn't get a slide due to the issues slide have. Wolf pups come in lots of different floor models. Don't buy used as campers always have issues. Please call your jeep manufacturer to get their recommended size to pull. Don't go by the sticker on the door of the vehicle. 25 foot is prob the max but your jeep is going to have issues. Your transmission and engine will suffer. A car can pull but that doesn't mean it can hold it going down mountains or when 18 wheelers fly by u taking off the wind causing you to fish tail.

We bought an Aliner pop up camper. It stores in our garage. It’s dry weight is 1459 and tongue weight of 150 lbs. we’ve taken it from FL to the northern tip of Maine and from FL to TX, north to Montana, and across to South Dakota then back South to FL. It takes two minutes to pop it when Boondocking going from point a to b. It has AC, we keep the couch in the permanent bed position and put a memory foam mattress. No bathroom, but we have a portapotty. Next will be a small class c, but we will keep the Aliner too. We did 10 state parks last Fall.

Also a jeeper. You’ll have to look at a popup or a small runaway like camper to pull with jeep. Otherwise get a class c and pull the jeep. We have a travel trailer but also tow with a truck. We love camping it’s nice to sleep in your own bed with your own sheets in a camper you know is clean! We are also avid cruisers.

Thanks for this trip down memory lane. My late mother liked nothing better than going to the big RV shows in the Los Angeles area for many years. Hi guys! It up to you. There are advantages and disadvantages disadvantages to both owning an rv and continuing what you are doing now. A small one is could because there a much less restrictions on where you ban park it. It also will save you money on hotels. If it fits within your budget, you can still have the opportunity to travel whichever way you want to. A bigger one will probably make you feel more married to use it only. I would just beware that the Oder you smelled could be coming from a few different things. You don’t want one that was flooded and you certainly don’t one that someone died in lol - a little eerie. Get a piece of paper and jot down the pros, cons, costs for both. Hope this helps a little .❤

Yes yes! Get one! we have loved our fifth wheel we have a older year model but wouldn’t trade it! We just work hard to keep it up and “healthy” we have the best group of family and friends we have now as a camping crew! But the way, fifth wheels are easier to park and gives that extra room over the hitch. Get a slide out closet in master so worth it! And get a all seasons one for the insulated water lines, we have been caught in fall freezing camping 😂

My wife and I love our 2023 Thor Compass 23TE motorhome. We bought it new and we have already put on 21,000 miles and it goes anywhere we want to go. Having our own bed and bathroom beats going to a hotel that could have bed bugs a probably isn’t as clean as you might think. Ours is nimble enough for most tight places and rugged enough for country roads to explore. All the comforts of home, TV, AC, full kitchen, and full bathroom. I guess it’s what you want to do and how you want to do it. It’s fun and exciting. We love ours. Good Luck.

Oh dear … Will and Dawn. Run, run as fast as you can away from the idea of getting a travel trailer or RV. I purchased a class B motorhome on the Mercedes-Benz sprinter chassis back in November 2011. I still have it and have enjoyed it for a number of years. However, maintenance is the biggest concern that I have had to deal with not only for the coach portion of the RV, but also for the vehicle portion of the Mercedes. As I’m sure you are well aware it is quite expensive to maintain these vehicles. Travel trailers today are very poorly made with no quality assurance by the trailer manufacturer whatsoever. It sounds wonderful to have your own travelling hotel/hotel room and your own bathroom and your own kitchen, etc. But in the end you would find that you’re not gonna be able to go a lot of the places that you would like to be able to go, and when you consider what you pay for a new one, in particular, you would be able to enjoy travelling to the three, four, or five star hotels for just as much as you would, with a motorhome or trailer. For what it’s worth avoid the aggravation.

I have never owned one, but this is only my opinion. Part of your videos are staying in motels and hotels, giving your followers a view, your opinion, hands on info of where to stay, the prices, etc. I personally would maybe consider a very small pull behind to stay in camp grounds. Forget the bathroom, use what's available. The headaches from flat tires, wheel passing you after it comes off the camper from a bad wheel bearing, etc. Your jeep can pull a lot, stopping the camper without electric brakes in Mts. Rent a motor home on y'all far off trips, where you show parks, Mts out west. Y'all do what you want, I'm just expressing my opinion, I enjoy your videos, very good info, y'all be safe, 👍👍

The No Boundaries, just like the one in the video that Dawn and Will are touring comes in at about 5,000 pounds on the GVWR towing guide. If, I decide to get this model, I will need to trade up to a Dodge Laramie to haul it with. Because my Colorado work truck won't even haul this ultra lite model. I'm also considering an R-Pod, if I can find one that doesn't weigh over 1,500 pounds and my little chevy could pull it, maybe? The smallest Little Guy Mini Max has a GVWR tow rating of about 3,500 pounds, which is too much for my Colorado to safely pull and I would have to trade up to a half ton pickup that could tow a minimum of 7,000 pounds to a maximum of 9,000 pounds. While the smallest No Boundaries is cute, anytime you put weight on the roof, you weaken the structure over time. The problem with a back ramp or outdoor kitchen is that it becomes a temptation to someone looking to make a fast buck, the easy way. No matter what I do, if I decide to go with a small RV, I will have to trade up to a pickup with a 1,500-pound differential that can pull it safely. Having owned a conversion van, previously you couldn't get me to invest in a Class A, B, or C. The class C shown in the video is a great three hundred-thousand-dollar motorhome and out of my budget and the bills alone on that would do a normal budget in, including your gas budget. If you are going to get a mobile RV, a class B would be the way to go.

You could buy the big Class A and hire me to be your professional driver! 🤔❤️👍🙏 But seriously, rent!! Rent different ones for trips. It will help you learn about them. The pros and cons of each, the fuel each consumes, etc...🤔 Camping is wonderful because you'll meet such nice people in campgrounds. 😊 Problem is the campgrounds are also going up in price.😰

We thought about an RV but when we added up the cost including insurance upkeep costs of spots it didn't seem worth it. Plus you could often end up next to someone crazy with no walls. Lots of work also.

Nothing like a good bathroom. .all the water you want heat air ice. Pools at hotels .telephones. fun thought if you had someone to do all repairs and cleaning but.....for older people. Im. Over it. Plus the camp ground fees have gotten way high. I love a real house. Now. Expecally in bad weather.

Dawn you looked overwhelmed. Having your own RV is amazing it's yours and you have your own stuff with you. We have a 35 foot travel trailer for ten years and we love it. Ours sleeps 8 so the grandkids love taking their friends with us. I think you would really enjoy having one. We keep ours in the garage it only sees the sun when we go camping. Good luck looking around and have fun doing it

We live in a 26ft all season pull behind camper in Maggie valley NC and love it!! I only recommend getting a camper if you want to live in it full time or you will use it a lot .Try renting one first. Your challenge is you need to stay small because of the Jeep. Dawn didn’t seem excited. You know what….there are some really awesome huge tents with portable heaters and air conditioners. Think about how cool those vlogs would be .I saw some at fort wilderness in Disney. They were amazing. You would need to stay at campsites obviously with bathrooms. You wouldn’t even need to cook much cause you can go out to eat or cook on an open fire. It all depends on what type of camping you want to do!! Glamping - which Dawn would like or roughing it for Will ❤😀

Great video, Yankee in the South: towable RV's are nice, so are Truck campers. The biggest problem that I have with my 2021 Colorado is finding a teardrop that I can comfortably haul with it which won't stress out the engine, nor take it right to the springs. Including, a truck camper that is made for a small pickup. I'm continuing to look and hoping to find something that will work, so I don't have to move up to a Dodge Laramie. I'm not sure what I will do, but I will figure something out, so I can work in Pigeon Forge and visit Gatlinburg in 2026. A cassette toilette is always a great option and stores very easily in an RV. My chevy Colorado work truck is GVWR rated for 3,500 pounds towing capacity and I was advised to make sure that I kept a 1,500-pound tow differential in order to tow safely. The Sonic you're looking at is close to 7,000 pounds and my Colorado couldn't even tow that. For safety reasons, I would never consider hooking my Colorado work truck up to the Sonic. You would need to invest in something like a Dodge Laramie to haul that Sonic with safely. Everything you're looking at is about 6,000 pounds or above and requires a vehicle with a greater GVWR towing capacity. Anytime you have a slide they add weight to the RV and I want to keep the weight down, for towing purposes. If I decide on a towable RV, I will start with something small and simple with no slides. The Cruise Lite is about a 26 to a 29-foot RV and about 9,000 pounds plus and you will want to invest in a three quarter to a one-ton pickup to pull the cruise lite with. -Happy Trails

Give me a hotel room. I'm not a camper. If you enjoy it that's wonderful. You all will make the right decision for you.

We've been looking at Travel Lite trailers (used ones) but the new models look nice and would be light enough to pull with a Jeep, I belived.

Have ya looked into a pop up usually next thing after tents? But we are thinking about going back again so can travel further. We have a 26' t.trailer but we only go from north IN to Smokies when camped. Would love to get back to where we live for beach of MB,SC again. But with trailer pulling & truck costs $600 in gas. Some pop ups have built in port a pots. Or we used a port a potty like that one teardrop y'all looked at too. As long as campground as good showers no biggie.

If you’re trying to tow with your Jeep you may want to check out a LiV travel trailer. They are somewhat primitive but they are very lightweight. We own one ourselves and are pretty happy with it. It is NOT a four season trailer, but it’s good for spring/summer/fall camping. FYI… We have no affiliation with the company nor do we sell RV’s. Just suggesting you take a look if you need a very lightweight trailer.

Check out nucamp I think the 300 boondock would work for you both. We had one and loved it, very well made, we visited the factory where the Amish were hard at work!

Excited to watch this one. I often wonder what RV life would be like. Knowing you guys, I wonder if it would hinder you. You guys are so free, I’d hate for it to limit you in any way. Obviously, you wouldn’t have to use it all the time. They sure look like fun. I loved the old pop-up days from my childhood. Ohio, Michigan, the Smokies, etc.
