With your lithium pack you're going to need to run some heavy gauge cables along with a DC-DC convertor which will determine your actual output.

Ya I had debated on going crazy and doing dual 60 amp dc dc chargers with 1/0 cable. I have a video coming out in a few weeks to show what I’m doing which is just 1 60 amp dc dc charger using 4 gauge cable

This is a great video. We will share it with our customers who want to run a 2000 watt CARGENERATOR , at idle you've got about 2400 watts of power available.... awesome.

My main concern would be idling a modern diesel with all the DPF emissions stuff on it. Pre-DEF...no problem. Idling a modern diesel (like a Semi/Tractor) will most likely speed up the clogging of your DPF system.

Yes, this is definitely the biggest concern with modern diesels. However, they can still be idle for 10 to 12 hours with no issue. Simply take it for a drive after that 10 to 12 hours to clear out the DPF.

Hey Chris I’ve been thinking of doing that myself, can’t wait to see how many amps are actually going into the batteries at idle !

So this has the capacity of 200 amps at idle. Now to use that for my rv battery bank I need to do some MAJOR cabling and dc dc charging. For now I just went with a 60 amp dc dc charger which that video will be in a few weeks. But next week you’ll see a product that I’m using while the truck is just at idle and parked and I’m maxing out the multiplus charger capacity so stay tuned for that one.

Hey Chris I was wondering what your thoughts are on an open circuit protection device for the alternator. I guess I can wait to see if the 30A Dc/Dc charger has been upgraded

Unnecessary in my opinion. Just fuse for the cable for whatever you’re powering. Yes my new dc dc system will be a video in just a few weeks
