The credit card is by far the best thing to use to take off the decal or the adhesive. It's so easy that you can just sit there on a chair and watch the person you paid with the credit card do all the work.

Thank you for makeing this vidoe, so i could read the comments, and then remember that gasoline is one of the best things to remove glue. ( lighter fluid is odor less gasoline ). i was trying to remove some tape adhesive on chipboard with plastic laminate. tryed hot water.. i tryed alcohol, i tryed lamp oil ( mineral oil ) and i tryed hand sanityser with aloa vera. ( 70 % ). none of them realy worked. but the gasoline. was so easy to use. i used paper towel, and pured some gasoline on the plastic laminate, and i could rub it of quite easy. i wonder why nobody on youtube dont use gasoline. maybe it is because they can not smoke when they work with it. i could have saved 1 hour work trying with the other things people recomend. but gasoline was the solution for my problem.

I sure hope this works for us, your results was wonderful. We bought an older trailer and the decals are in bad shape peeling cracking etc. We had the trailer detailed just yesterday and the guy tried to tell us they could not be removed, we think he was tired and hot and done for the day, So here we are we found you and we are going to try it out, thanks for a good video, and I will let you know the outcome.

I'm in the midst of this project on a 13 year old fifth wheel that had heavy sun exposure on one side, I used a heat gun sparingly with the decals in direct sunlight and it wasn't easy because the decals were so dried out they kept breaking apart as I pulled the decal off. I didn't have the buildup of glue that you had mostly I had dried clue where the decal had previously come off on it's own. Personally I will not take anything metal to my RVs finish, I am using a plastic tool for removal of interior panels with a sharp edge to get the decals started, it's too easy to do damage to the fiberglass finish using anything metal and repairing that would be another job in itself. Thanks for the video, I'll try Awesome Orange cleaner purchased at Dollar Tree before buying the orange cleaner you used, I'm sure it's superior but maybe my awesome orange will work.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I just took the decals off my Roadtrek 210P and trying to get adhesive off. A couple of the decals look like they scratched surface of the paint, but not sure. I did use Goo Gone, WD-40, & rubbing alcohol. Goo Gone took most of it off. However, I will try the citrus product. Also, for scraping, I used the Pampered Chef plastic pan scraper. Won't the razor blade damage paint if not used properly? Does it have to be at a certain angle?

How did you deal with the fading of the gelcoat. You can see where the decals used to be. I have this problem and I have tried many products with no good results.

When the husband was on the big truck, he used to use Engine Starter Spray. The kind you can spray into carburetor of vehicles you're trying start. It worked for him every time, stickers came off easily.

The best stuff I've used is "Rapid Remover" works great....

Automotive "Acrylic Enamel" thinner works well too.

Didn't the Razor Blade cause surface scratches on your paint job?

where can you purchase the citrustrip adhesive remover ?

Looks like a random orbit sander with hook &loop nylon scrub pads ( without the built in abrasive ) ( from industrial abrasives )and citri-strip in a spray bottle would do wonders. I have a 23 year old motohome I'd like to paint. My problem is that the vinyl won't come off like yours did.

Did the razor blade scratch surface?

If you apply some heat with a heat gun it will soften the adhesive and any of these three products will work better.

was you planning to use those products in 3 separate spots because you sprayed wd40 all over past the window so it had time to soak with that before the other products, how ever it did come off easy.

Wouldn’t it be safer to use a plastic scraper instead of a metal one on the surface of your RV? I would be afraid of couching the surface with a metal scraper or blade

it will be more convincing to see which product is more effective than the others, if you apply different product on different area

I have heard that you can use Citrus furniture polish to remove the decals That sounds too good to be true.

I Tried the citrus strip stuff with a razor scraper and put the liquid on and let it set for a hour then came back and recoated it and came back in a half hour and the vinyl decal literally fell off. I Was taking the vinyl graphics off a 1989 winn. chieftain. The plastic razor blades broke to easy so i switched back to the razor blades made of steel and found a 22 degree angle kept the blade from cutting the fiberglass body and ripped all of the vinyl and the glue really good with a whole lot less effort. Then i'm going to wash the RV down with TSP and a plastic scrubbing pad on a buffer/polisher and some 3M Finesse to buff it out.

if you doing a lot of work as such. I would suggest using a eraser wheel normally found in a automotive body shop or paint store. not only will it take the decals off, it will also take the glue off in one step making it easier to go to a cut and polish.

Man that is a big job!..I need to find something that will remove the adhesive from where I have peeled off the fake woodgrain finish on the inside of my old wagoneer..I just tried gasoline cause that's all I have here and it is not working so I need to get to Home Depot today..thanks for your advice here.

Try bitu ox It remove glue, chewing gum, ink and new paint from spraying, scratching, asphalt, bitumen and mildew all in one product that is not flammable and biodegradable.

Other KZfaq videos use gasoline and a towel, then wash with soap and water. also, use a plastic scraper to not damage the paint.

So just get a rubber wheel with a drill. Much faster. Or even a industrial heat gun and heat up the adhesive and tear off. Or heat up and go over it with the rubber wheel. Comes off like a hot knife thru butter. Much faster than this. And with out all that grease you can paint right after.

I used petrol-gasoline (benzine) for vehicles.

To start with, you saturated the surface with wd40, the all the other chemicals were used on the same spot after wd40, it's like cleaning your house b4 the cleaner comes to clean. you wanna do a test on different surface area for each product.

I,ve got sticker stuff on my van that only explosives will move. Tried everything, GOO OFF, FOOK OFF, etc, fook all works.

ATR ADHESIVE SOLUTION. Best film adhesive remover. dissolve on contact.

You should never use a metal razor blade on RV fiberglass or metal. Not unless you want to scratch the paint and the fiberglass. With Zip strip you need to follow the instructions. Coat it on and let it sit for 20 minutes. Then use a Plastic putty knife. Use the Orange Zip Strip. It will actually bubble the decals to signal they are ready to come off.

That was one of my job I did when I work Body Shop I remove old sticker and I installed brand new details on cars what are you what's 3M decal remover and 3M glue remover sometimes I would use a heat gun and heat up small sections at a time this was my job for many years at a body shop

I had bumper sticker glue on my chrome bumpers on my 72 Woody....So I used anal-ease or astroglide lube. It has a petroleum based chemical that eats right through the glue and doesn't do harm

Why would you apply another product over same spot that you previously applied WD 40???? Makes no sense. Well yes it’s instantaneous because you previously sprayed those exact same spots with WD 40. Hit a new location

WD-40 is not effective also the also the more you scrape that to a tinner layer of glue the harder it will be to remove when you soak it with spirit white or a strong spirit wipe leave it on the glue until the glue is in a jelly like state and do not scrape a bit prematurely allow it to get right to the point that when you're rubber plant into the liquid you can see it coming into a jelly-like substance and coming right of the whole of the paint finish if you scrape it prematurely it actually makes it harder to remove leave the liquid on it until it's totally soaked in when you rub a spot you should be able to get right down to the finish paint when you get to that stage before the jelly effusive gets dry rub it off as fast as possible if necessary apply a second coaching this is the most effective way of residue from the graphics or wraps of any kind. You have to do it in small 12inc bit's At a time if you try to do to much at once it will start to dry and get hard in parts you have to take your time

I remove, fabricate, and install RV decals for a living. He's using the wrong scraper, and the wrong release agents. The stuff with the citrus in it, looks decent Not his fault. He just doesn't know.
