Just as a note: there is a parallel between vol 5 and 9 in the Summer and Raven scene, when Summer shoulder checks Raven as she walks past It sends into stark focus the same moment in vol 5 when Yang did the same, and Raven uncharacteristically reacted with openly crying and saying "I'm sorry" That sorry may not have been aimed at Yang

There are two things left to watch. At RTX from last year they played an unanimated perspective of what was supposed to be the outro for Volume 9 with RWBY and Jaune's return and meeting up with everyone in Vacuo. The most interesting part was after they returned to Remnant, Yang's mom Raven came to them in the desert and opened a portal to Qrow. So it appears she has finally had a change of heart and joined in the conflict on their side. Then there are four shorts of different stories of life after their journey to the ever after. One is how Jaune is coping with being a 60-80 year old man in an 18-20 year old body again lol.

So in this chapter, we see some Summer backstory finally. What really intrigues me about this one, is that Summer meets up with Raven for whatever the mission is, and she creates a portal to somewhere. Now as we know from Volume 5, Raven can only create portals to people she has bonded with. The only ones we know about are Vernal (comes later), Taiyang, Yang, and Qrow. Both Ty and Yang were in the house so unless she had someone else we don't know about she made a portal to Qrow. Now Qrow has said he has no idea what happened to Summer and it was a mystery. Has he been lying this whole time about that? I wonder if Qrow's Semblance might have something to do with whatever happened to Summer, and that is why he is so protective of Ruby, even though she is not his blood Niece? Just a theory.

Ruby falling through liminal space, reaching out to Crescent Rose and embracing her destiny parallels Oscar/Ozpin's fall through Atlas after Ironwood shot him, reaching out to Ozpin's falling cane and embracing his destiny as well.

The EverAfter opens up some possibilities to "fix" Salem. Originally the story was supposed to have some scenes about Vacuo, but the budget was transfered to making the Justice League crossover. There's another video with some of the sketches of Vacuo that they should include in Vol10, if you want to seek it out. Also, I suspect Summer, Raven, and Leo Lionheart used the Relic of Knowledge to ask the first question, which caused the three different reactions - and perhaps Summer used the Crown of Choice Relic in the same way Dr Strange explored the possible outcomes in the MCU and came out with only one successful solution. Just a hunch.

Ruby’s pain at realizing Summer Rose wasn’t as perfect as she thought is so sad. It’s a hard lesson to learn-that the people you put up on a pedestal can still make awful mistakes and keep secrets just like everyone else. But her growth at learning that she is enough just the way she is now is so great. It was something she really needed to hear.

I'm glad you got to the final big reveal, Blake. Despite some of the 'annoying' faults, I still love RWBY and accept RWBY for what it is and what it could be. Think on this from a different perspective. These are children that don't go to high school, fall in love, goof around, have a part time job, and plan for their future in education and careers. They are taught to murder. We can't fathom the burden of heroism in this quirky, daunting world of Remnant. Monty Oum once wrote "I believe that the human spirit is indomitable. If you endeavor to achieve, it will happen given enough resolve. It may not be immediate, and often your greater dreams [are] something you will not achieve within your own lifetime. The effort you put forth to anything transcends yourself, for there is no futility even in death." I think it is safe to say that Monty gave birth to something that some very talented compatriots took forth into the remaining five volumes of this show. RWBY is the pinnacle of modern popular culture, in my humble opinion, and RWBY became something truly beautiful in volume three and four. It was volume 3 and 4 that unearthed a need in me to write fan fiction for RWBY that actually tackle some of your questions and concerns throughout your videos. If you love RWBY, you might enjoy Avatar: the last Airbender which was one of CRWBY's inspirations for RWBY. You might enjoy some other things too like The Legend of Vox Machina or The Dragon King. I've been a fan of RVB much longer than I was a fan of our four girls (and Nora Valkyrie the real reason I watch RWBY). Red vs Blue had honest, humble introductions in a time when web based animation didn't really exist. Monty actually worked on a couple seasons of it prior to creating RWBY. The show is stolen by an unlikely hero in the dullard comic relief that is Michael J Caboose. I think you might enjoy this journey too, Blake. I enjoyed watching your reactions to this series! You seem to have a better understanding of the story than many others who've watch it. I'm also surprised you ranked volumes 4 and 5 as high as you did considering that they're generally considered to be the worst volumes due to the loss of Monty Oum (I enjoyed them and I don't think they're as bad as people make it out to be). Now you can wait for volume 10 with the rest of us!
