If Your case allows, get the ASUS Tuf Gaming version of the RX 6700 XT. The cooling on that card is massive and stays cool for hours of play.

Make sure to OC it to 6750XT core clock. Same exact core so it's fine for daily use. Gets some great gains in many games with little change in temps. Works great with an under volt. I get 15-20 fps in many games.

Unmodded Fallout benchmarks are technically wrong, but it's not your fault, it's Bethesda's. You're not supposed to force unlock your FPS (as you said too). You're moving faster than you should, which means more physics & AI calculation and texture & mesh load, which taxes the PC more than expected. So take this (and any Fallout benchmark) with a grain of salt. You have to mod these games, period. When you install High FPS Physics Fix, there will be less calculation, meaning you'll get more FPS (and faster loading times) with the same PC.

Yep. I had these mods and I remember getting way more FPS with a 3060 Ti. I used to play with everything on maximum (except AA because it's bad, and weapon debris were off too) at 1440p with an ENB installed. So modded Fallout 4 >>> "next-gen" Fallout 4. Shame on you, Bethesda.

Thanks for the video, a previous long term Nvidia user, made the switch to AMD about a year ago, and picked up a PowerColor RX 6750XT, for the value, and native FPS power, recently bought the Fallout 4 game, was wondering as to the FPS I'd see, after watching this now I now, thanks for the video, enjoy your video's, find them not only enjoyable, but interesting and informative as well, 'Thanks'! 😊

This card can get along pretty well with the latest titles. As mid-range previous generation AMD its a great choice… 1440p high runs pretty decent with good quality graphics. I run the Nitro+ RX6700XT in combination with a 5800X and an Ultrawide 34” 1440p monitor, and no complaints on my behalf.. Cheers 🎉

You should try going to the very top of the Corvega Assembly Plant, my fps dropped like crazy when i was looking out over the city below. Could just be that its just very CPU intensive in that part of the map, I didn't check.

Hey thanks for checking the area outside Goodneighbor. I see framerate drops in 110s. Another good benchmark zone is on top of the highest buildings. Easy if you help the robots fly their USS constitution ship into a skyscraper, then head to that ship's new place and see possible framerate drops there.

Nice video bro, the only think i would say it's than in the video timer when u put "1080p settings" you are actually playing in 1440p in the actual gameplay; Same thing happens with the 4k resolution part (The problem was fixed in terms of minutes bdw)

One tip for those with a not as fast CPU as a 7000X3D, if you're having FPS drops below 60 in Boston, it's all becauase the Shadow Distance. Change it from Ultra to Medium and it'll hugely improve performorcance there. That's because medium uses 3000 as Shadow Distance, and High go straight to 14000 and Ultra is 20000. Other alternativa is to manually change the value in the .ini files, you can use something higher than 3000 to improve graphic quality a bit.

You have to be OUTSIDE the goodneighbor entrance looking out into the city though, not inside goodneighbor. it's not as much of a difference vs what it used to be though, now I get ~60% gpu util on my 7900XT and golden sample 5950x, and about 90 fps, Diamond city I get ~105 FPS at about 70% GPU usage, pre patch it was more like a 20 fps difference

Yeah. You can now do Medium textures on 6GB cards but in the Burning Shores areas like Fleet's End it still get rekt with GPU power. 🤣 Only play the base game if you will.

6700 xt does have that 192 bit bus though, so a 2080 ti would probably do better at 4k in this game. Also, because this game has low VRAM usage the 3060 ti might outperform the 6700 xt at 4k in this game.

Except for DLSS and Ray Tracing, AMD will beat Nvidia at rasterization at most tiers. DLSS and ray tracing are nice to have, but hardly essential, and if you have high enough framerate you don't need DLSS/FSR. So, when I was in the market for a new GPU, I bought a AMD card this time. I replaced my RTX 2070 with a RX 6900 XT and don't regret it for a moment.

Well think of it like E-cores. Some games can utilize wrong cores so by disabling regular cores and only keep the 3D cores, the game is directed to use 3D cores only just how the 7800X3D operate.

The 7950X3D's 16 cores are spread out across 2 CCDs of 8 cores each. Only one of those CCDs has access to the 3D V-cache. Sometimes Windows will assign games to run on the cores without the 3D V-cache. Other times it might assign cores from one CCD and cores from the other, resulting in latency when they have to communicate with each other. By disabling the CCD without 3D V-cache you make sure that you're getting the benefits of 3D V-cache in gaming, and you essentially end up with a 7800X3D, which has 8 cores on a single CCD with 3d V-cache. The downside is you lose the benefits of 16 cores in productivity workloads, but for gaming it's usually a good idea.

@@LinvuS I have a ASRock Challenger Pro 6750 XT and to be honest undervolting and overclocking wasn't worth the extra heat and noise. I can get ~30mv stable undervolt but no more and the clocks barely moved. You're not using Afterburner are you? It overwrites the AMD control panel.

Don't worry about "bottlenecking" you will get the highest FPS your cpu can deliver, in the case of a 5800x that's going to be a lot. A 5800x is going to be capable of pulling well over 100 fps in literally every game, doesn't matter if you leave some gpu performance on the table, but, as newer more demanding games come out that margin will drop lower until the gpu is the weakest point again. Your CPU is like the road speed limit, the GPU is your car to get you there, as long as the slowest part is capable of delivering a satisfactory experience it doesn't matter.

4K high is more than playable as the game locked us at 48fps before the update. If I was going to do a test with my system it would what do I need to play this at and get frames down, not up because the game really starts to lose its mind after 100. I run a 7900XTX but the test would work with a 4080 Super or 4090 as well. What would I need to do to get the frame rate down to 100, how many mods would I need to run and would it be 8K? 16K? Because I was getting 300 plus unlocked at 4K Ultra in Vanilla.

Hi brok, I am brian. Glad to meet you. If you lack funds.. the PS4 is still a great gaming device. Though most of the free to play games are online only, so you would need to pay that monthly PSN fee. Note on a PC you can play free-to-play games online without paying to be online (if you have good internet). There is no paywall for gaming online like consoles. But then you have to have a PC that can game.. and PCs may require extra work to get games to work correctly on your system. Consoles are still the easiest way to game. Though I wish Sony would drop the monthly fee for online gaming like they did with the PS3.- Note if you bought used, you might want to open up the PS4 and clean it out/add new thermal paste. If you are comfortable doing that. These consoles get really filled up with hair and dust, and that can cause them to overheat.

I would rather this card than not enough VRAM. You do lose the DLSS and that's pretty hard decision to make. I heard that someone said you pay more for green cards because of CUDA cores and that would come in handy. Mostly people not just game when picking a GPU. That's why.

It were meant for consoles only. It's unlocked for 60 fps mode. 30 fps in 2024 is kinda outdated nowadays you know. 🤣

@@FranklinClinton1 This game might have been designed for mainstream intel processors that were out at the time, so the engine probably uses 1 or 2 main threads for most of the calculations, and most likely does not take advantage of the 3d V-cache of modern processors. The 5000 series of processors have decent single core performance, but the 3d v-cache chips have slightly lower clock speeds in order to avoid overheating issues with the 3d v-cache.

Есть редкие места где фпс для видеокарты может быть ниже 60, а еще есть места где фпс для процессора может быть чуть больше 60 или даже ниже. Вот такая "оптимизированная игра"
