I'm so excited to finally post The Shell Cup! This has been a long time in the making. To video for this was shot over about a year time span. The locations were also quite unique as well too! Here are the specifics on each video.
Waluigi Pinball

WOW!!! This was a FUN video to make! Watching the new Mario Bros Movie just got me SOOO pumped to keep creating these videos. Waluigi Pinball is one of my favorite Mario Kart Hot Wheel tracks and I really wanted to make this one special. It took a lot of preparation and I am so happy with the end product. I’d like to thank ‪@Player7707‬ for the encouragement and audio files.
Kalimari/Dry Dry Desert
This was filmed at the St. Anthony Sand Dunes in Idaho. Fun fact about these sand dunes. Remember in Napoleon Dynamite when Grandma Carlinda goes to the dunes with her boyfriend...well, these were the dunes!
This is the first time I used the Squid/Blooper. I accomplished this by painting a Bowser character completely black. Then I was lucky enough to find @dralezero had made a green screen effect which took away HOURS of editing for me! He's got some great stuff on his channel.
Peach Beach
This video is our version of Peach Beach that I filmed on a couple of vacations we went on this year. I first started filming in Jensen Beach Florida in February when my family and I went on a couples retreat there. I'll never forget all of the bites I got from the "no see-ums" on the beach. I also am a horrible swimmer with the lung capacity that lasts me no more than 10 seconds in the water, so filming the underwater portion of this video was definitely a new challenge for me.
The remainder of the video was filmed in Oregon, mostly in Pacific City, but a little snippet was filmed in front of the Heceta Head lighthouse, where I proposed to my wife 17 years ago. Pacific City is such an awesome place to vacation to. There is always good shells after high tide, the water is cold enough to get your feet wet, but too cold to swim in...which is fine with me. There also is a massive sand dune called Cape Kiwanda Sand Dune. I actually filmed quite a bit at the very top of this sand dune!
Luigi Raceway
This was probably the most time intensive film I've made when it comes to SET UP. I really wanted to use my Mario Characters in this video to make it look more like the game. Sometimes I felt that filming one small scene was about 90% set up and 10% film. I was really happy with the outcome.
- This is the first time I've used Mario Kart Billboards in my videos. For some reason I never thought about putting them in the videos before. But figured it would be a great addition to this video. I also put in some of my favorite youtube channels on the billboards as well. - The part with Mario driving past the beautiful red burning bushes was filmed at my brother's house. He was recently diagnosed with ALS and will be moving near Salt Lake City Utah to be closer to a clinic that specializes in ALS care. I've always loved how beautiful their driveway is and wanted to capture it before they move. I'll definitely miss him.
- This is the first time I've used the Ghost effect. I was really happy with the outcome. This was accomplished by filming the track with and without Dry Bones. Then A LOT of frame by frame editing, feathering and tweaking the opacity.
