Best video on KZfaq... And yeah, he is a little, but in his defense, Gretsch Black Falcons (the one he's using here) and Gibson 355s (his Walnut electric he normally uses) are both very large guitars... The tone from that Princeton Reverb and the Vibro King in stereo is heavenly.

***** Hi N2Music1. Yes, I know about the Menieres. He has been touring around the world this year and just finished. I really admire how he is conquering the Menieres. Can you imagine being a musician and having a disease like that? Kudos to him. I was lucky enough to see him in San Diego and he was great. Glad he has a handle on it.

this might have been one of Ryans heroin phases but goddamn was it eclectic. Cold Roses, JCN, Darkbreaker, 29..... live performances like these... they say artists do some of their best work on drugs, and while a bit cliche its damn true

shame about that flubbed bass note around 3.00 though....
@AndySalinger333 жыл бұрын
@@terrybartholomew7311 I just relistened but I’m not catching the perceived clam bass note. I’m wanting to know exactly which note you’re referring to. Could you tell me where it lands in regards to the lyrics? Or some other hint. Not outing you on the spot or even disagreeing. I’m just really interested in such things. Thanks dude. 👊
@terrybartholomew73113 жыл бұрын
@@AndySalinger33 Hey man - sure no problem - it's right on 3.02 - not a wrong note- she just doesn't fret it properly, and its rhythmically dubious. Listen with headphones and you'll hear it. (hey, we've all done worse ourselves, right?)
@AndySalinger333 жыл бұрын
@@terrybartholomew7311 yes, we all sure have. And of course, I now hear the part clearly. Rhythmically dubious, yes. In fact, it’s the very par I was hoping you were referring to, as it’s always caught me slightly off base as well. And yeah man, for the subtleties, nothing beats a nice set of headphones. Personally, I use nothing else. Anyway, this has been a really cool conversation! Be well!

I’m not one for tattoos, especially lyric tattoos but I’d definitely consider it! Which I’m doing now, staring at 3/4 full shot glass. This is why I like Ryan Adams! Some of his albums have a middle part of 3 or 4 songs of jibber-jabber. You take his collective hits and put that into a album; you would have just have a mass cult. But he does his own thing and that’s respected! Idk I’m drunk! Good song!

Shout out to everyone here, past and/or future...you have fine taste indeed! Compare this rocking version with Austin City Limits. I mean, that's a very cool performance...but THIS! Homegirl on bass really holds it the fuck down and swings this jam! I'd marry that girl right now, on principle. Cat Popper is tremendous.

I could watch Ryan Adams KZfaq vids all night. Having a bunch of blow wouldn't hurt, either. This guy makes me want to try heroin. Along with Hendrix, Morrison, Cobain, Townsend, Clapton, Staley, Oberst, Joplin and all those other incredible artists whose heroin habits aren't common knowledge. Pot is great, but I think I really need heroin to put me over the top. ;-)
@jimbob12404yahoo3 жыл бұрын
I think this was when RA was in his "heroin phase" and Ive always interpreted that look by bass player Catherine Popper as more of a maternal look of caring...
