If fans could pick what music style she should do next I think they'd say a mix of Speak Now and Red. Solo written songs of her are the best and also the ones she cowrites with Liz. One of my absolute favorites from Ryan's new album. I know this is one of his many covers of Taylor Swift's "1989" album; Ryan Adams needs to be better known. He has an incredible haunting voice. I wasn't sure what I would think of this album but I cannot stop listening to it, it's also made me respect Swift as a lyricist; so much emotion in every song. Also the album reminds me of 'Born In The USA' era Springsteen.

This is way cooler than it should have been. I feel so guilty listening to it, but it is amazing! Really, for me it does two things: 1. Taylor Swift is one hell of a lyricist! As much as I am not a fan of her over produced shepherd-herding-sheep-pop sound, the girl can write. She needs to have DRA, or Joel Plaskett, or T-Bone Burnett, Daniel Lanois produce her stuff. I'd be fan then. 2. It confirms the genius that is Ryan Adams. Wow... his perspective on this album is gloriously stunning!

She said, "Let's get out of this town Drive out of this city, away from the crowds" I thought, heaven can't help me now Nothing lasts forever But this is gonna take me down She's so tall and handsome as hell She's so bad, but she does it so well I can see the end as it begins My one condition is [Chorus:] Say you'll remember me Standing in your nice dress, staring at the sunset Red lips and rosy cheeks, say you'll see me again Even if it's just in your wildest dreams Your wildest dreams I said, "No one has to know what we do" Her hands are in my hair, her clothes are in my room Her voice is a familiar sound, nothing lasts forever But this is getting good now She's so tall and handsome as hell She's so bad, but she does it so well And when we've had our very last kiss My last request is [Chorus:] Say you'll remember me Standing in your nice dress, staring at the sunset, baby Red lips and rosy cheeks, say you'll see me again Even if it's just in your wildest dreams Your wildest dreams You see me in hindsight Tangled up with you all night Burning it down Someday when you leave me Bet all these memories will follow you around Will follow you around, 'round [Chorus:] Say you'll remember me Standing in your nice dress, staring at the sunset, babe Red lips and rosy cheeks, say you'll see me again Even if it's just in your wildest dreams Your wildest dreams Say you'll remember me Say you'll remember me

Ryan Adams can rework a song so well that its original performers are awestruck - just ask Oasis. The engineering and production on this track is nothing less than amazing, and his vocals turn this song into something sad and yet utterly beautiful.

“Me” is a slant rhyme with “dress,” “sunset” and “cheeks.” And “again” if it’s accented correctly, which it is. Nevermind “see” and “me.” The entire chorus basically rhymes every single line.... oh, also “dreams.”

Sounds a bit like Ryan's old work with Whiskeytown or Taylor's work circa-Fearless, I love it. Wasn't too keen on Taylor Swift's original Wildest Dreams, I thought it was one of the weaker tracks on 1989. But this is fantastic, I love it so much!

I have been following the Brilliant Ryan Adams since the early Whiskeytown days. How cool to co-opt Swift's embracing of Pop Producer driven drivel and RA comes along and make a hell of a better record in his tiny home studio and two ears.
