How time flies. The last time I seen you Ryan was at Lewisville. He was around 4 or 5 years old. I was practicing for an upcoming regional and Chris came in to practice. He had both of the twins with him. Last time I bowled against Chris was at the City tournament about 7 years ago. Linda was there also. I finished 2nd to Chris in quite a few brackets. Damn flat 10 in the 10th frame 😢.

Nice work, Ryan! btw if you're using the kinesiology tape for any leg/knee pain/tightness I would def recommend looking into a high-quality massage gun like a Theragun or Hyperice. I bought a Theragun Pro Gen 4 about 2 months ago and it's fixed so many issues I've had prior to and others I got from bowling. The magic a good massage gun will do almost feels like cheating because it works so well. The problems I had were a sticky patella/right knee tracking issue, painful left hip from doing squats + repetitive bending of my knee for my sliding foot, and a nasty adhesion in my back from the consistent swinging of my left/balance arm towards my back on releasing the ball -- all those were fixed through just doing regular Theragun work each day over the 2 months.

You both need a lesson from Baker on how to optimize the use of the headpin as a messenger. I enjoyed bowling with a hard rubber bowling ball or a hard plastic bowling ball because every strike shot had to be at maximum lift. Today with the modern bowling balls that hook on their own weight block most bowlers "baby" the lift on release. (How can anyone leave a 2-10 or 2-8-10 with the modern hooking bowling balls?, "baby" release?) I at 80 years old need to stand as far left and throw with maximum lift over the third arrow or fourth arrow so I can make the headpin be a factor in my carry for a strike with modern bowling balls. P.S. The first thing I noticed after STU had a lesson from Baker, the headpin messenger became a factor in his carry with his new strike ball release and follow through. As for the knees take up hiking in the mountains. My knees are great at 80 years old because I did a lot of walking while grouse hunting in the side hills in Wisconsin for 60 years.
