I really like these interviews because they give a lot of information on tattoos. I'm going to get my first tattoo in febuary and these interviews helped me getting more confident!

I hate that Kat is the first tattoo artist that people name when asked who they want to get tattooed by. Don't get me wrong she is a good artist but what about Paul Booth? Nick Baxter? No hate to him though, he seems like a chill guy. I don't know anything about him but it seems like a lot of these commenters don't care for him.

Johanna Lundqvist - I literally said in this post that she is a good artist. I love Kat but it irritates me because these people can't name any other artist. To me it represents a lack of appreciation. They name the BIGGEST artist in the industry and fail to name people who are an even better artist. If you truly love tattoo art, at least familiarize yourself with the greats in the industry. If you don't really care then just say, "I don't give a fuck about the art, I just want to cover my whole body with ink cause I think it looks cool".

This kid in some ways represents what is wrong with the tattoo industry. If you watch the interview with Hunter he talks about it. This guy has the majority of his tattoos on places where everyone can see them rather than getting everything else done (back, legs, etc) that are big area spots then inking up the neck and face. Didn't earn his stripes at all and played into the trendiness of it. Having said that this was a great interview and having gone through the struggle to get to sobriety, I do respect the fact that the guy is drug-free. I just fucking hate that he has to let everyone know it thirty million fucking times and probably kicks himself for every person that he doesn't tell that he's straight-edge. Plus the fact that he got it inkd up on himself so many times is just clear waste of valuable skin and redundant as fuck. I never ever comment or go on rants like this but I watched hunters interview and then this right after and what he said was so true and couldn't be more obvious. And if anybody is still reading this I think some of the old school guys that built the foundation for modern age, like Freddie Corbin, Grime, or Sammy should be interviewed on here. That would be dope. Keep em coming, I&H

+Ryan Edge that is true bro, but then again this is an standard for tattoos, I have a tattoo on my chest that I know is stupid and does not look that good, I like it tough. But the truth of the matter is nobody has ever told me "hey your tattoo is very stupid" or anything alike. people will save what they think if it´s negative or not on the internet lol. now being honest and also being a tattoo lover with its whole culture, and having quite a lot tattoos myself, face tattoos IN MY OPINION, are just an amazing way to destroy the way your face looks. I like the pieces you´ve got on your face, but why the face ?? again being a tattoo lover what´s left is to respect and let everyone be, since everybody have their own preferences. But oh my god, face tattoos, for me, looks deceased and fucking horrible in general. You can believe me I´d definitely say that to your face. As for the rest of your tattoos, I like ´em

All the advice I can give you is get something YOU want, not your friends or whoever. Also, research an artists portfolio and see who does what you want. The biggest thing though, let the artist have free reign over the tattoo once youve agreed on a design. Give them the idea and let them do what they do and it will turn out great. That way you will get the best tattoo and not another random tattoo that they dont care about.

I think the whole traditional rules of getting the rest, your body tattooed before your face kind of doesn’t apply here because he clearly already has a good source of income, and he already knows what he wants to do with his life so the fact that he has tattoos on his face before anywhere else it doesn’t really matter in the situation

Nope, it's all just to do with preference. It's just a majority of people believe that if you get a tatto that has a deep meaning, there is less chance of you regretting it as you get older.

He's essentially a hipster trying to be ironic. He's covered in face tattoos which is normally associated with gang members but they are cupcakes and rainbows and shit and instead of a pitbull or other tough dog he has a chihuahua and he claims to not do any drugs or alcohol.
