Try Sam Cook 60 years ago .. He wrote, arranged the music, Sang the songs, played the instruments, Hired the musicians, Hired promotions & Marketing , created his Tours , Explained Copyrights & OWNING YOUR MASTERS- ect to the Likes of Fats Domino , Little Richard - Ray Charles and others. Only to be Triple Crossed by the (I)legal music industry who STOLE EVERYTHING by falsifying documents. Murder was the case as they sAvagely plotted his death from the beginning.

Na. You go platinum... You're features fee goes way up. Everyone wants platinum. Those records get played for ever, as of now 🤣. So royalties for as long as people listen to music? @TARAdubbleyuu This. The denial, deflect, and disconnect is how abusers and predators get away with their shit. When people find out a family member, or spouse, or someone else close was/is abusing someone...there is shock and disbelief by some. Even when there are/were clear signs. Photo and video evidence won't always be there. It's unrealistic to think that it would be. As if the moments of abuse are predictable, or that a camera is or can always be conveniently available and positioned (without detection), or that going to police or someone else is always safe and possible. Or that tapping into courage is easier than leaning into survival and doing what feels safest. I really find it strange when people attempt to lean to prescriptive or theoretical arguments to explain why they have a hard time believing someone's story. It's like they don't understand how the nervous system works and how fear can keep people trapped. For a long time. Especially (ESPECIALLY) if an abuser has something of leverage to use against the person they're abusing. And, for those who read between the lines in Cassie's suit, she essentially helped highlight this fact. She stayed there were videos of her doing things with men. She stated she was told there were copies or ways to retrieve deleted videos. She mentioned sex workers were hired for her to sleep with. I wouldn't doubt some may not have been legal age especially when we factor in stories of Puff and a young Usher and Justin Beiber. Revenge porn is something used against many women as a method of control and abuse. Anyone that thinks Puff never threatened to leak any videos of cassie doing certain things, if she tried to leave or tell anyone, have never been in such a vulnerable or compromised situation. Similarly, I can imagine threats being made to kill her or her family, or cause them other types of harm. She was a young naive girl when she hit the scene. Her programming to be under the control of abusive twisted men began at 16-17 with Ryan Leslie and eventually escaped when she met Puff. Thinking Cassie would respond to the experiences of abuse in a perfect, ideal, prescriptive, or theoretical way is pure ignorance. There's a reason she was targeted and why most 16-17 year olds aren't recruited by dudes like Ryan Leslie (25-26 at the time) and then picked up by a 36-37 year old man at 19. Most men don't think or operate like them dudes and most females won't have Cassie's lived experiences with those guys. As well, most men will never know what it's like to be in a relationship dynamic with an extreme power embalance by being with someone who has an upper hand (leverage) due to age, money, wealth, astatus, lived experience, knowledge, sex, connections, etc. Add threats on top off that and becoming programmed to normalise and accept the abuse & dysfunction. Especially knowing the police and the abusers team will stand loyal to him over you. Most people wouldn't be able to navigate their way out of that. Chances are Cassie would still be tied to Puff, or dead, if not for Alex Fine intervening. Stories of abuse, especially on the extreme emd, are very nuanced, layered, and contextual. Why didn't she go to the police earlier, why did she stay, Where's the evidence (etc) are questions privileged people ask...privileged in that they never had a similar lived experience and likely never will. And that goes for most men and most women. Even most women who experienced abuse won't have this type of story. We're talking of a teen girl who got groomed and fed to a grown ass multi millionaire. People saying she was "grown" when she met Puff, 36-37, when she was 18-19. By that time, Puff been had how many kids, worked how many jobs, accumulated how much wealth, had how many properties, had how many serious long term relationships, had achieved how many accomplishments, and received how much knowledge and awards, and travelled to how many places and met how many people, and had how many staff (etc)? He was grown. Cassie was developing. 18-19 isn't grown. Most grown people don't put up with abuse because they know the signs and aren't easily controlled.
@TARAdubbleyuu
@TARAdubbleyuu Ай бұрын
@@TOWTOW-ms6do Well said and God bless you for writing all that. You are 1000% correct. Everything you wrote. The autonomic nervous system is something people need to learn about and understand in order to properly assess abusive situations: "fight/flight/freeze/fawn" vs "rest/strategize/digest". People need to also understand that it takes less than 36 hours to break someone through what is termed by our own government as "white torture" and sexual torture. Think Abu Graib. This is, from my perspective as a woman who has been trafficked, one of the reasons that Diddy was always on some "48 hours" verbiage with his victims (Bieber and Cassie specifically that are known at this time). Among other tactics that fall under the umbrella term "white torture".

Artist kill me acting like an "advance" is free money. It's literally in the damn name, it's an advance on the money your album should make and I bet they have to pay interest on it too. Moral of the story he found the right way to do it
