Reaves killed him. And when you pause the takedown you can clearly see that Pezz is the one facing away from the fight. And at least there was actual punches, unlike xekhaj pushing Reaves into the net

Reeves is among the best scrapper in the NHL but soon the leafs will grow tired of being semi short handed with him on the ice(like his prior teams). Pezzetta is a marginally better hockey player than reeves and will never be able to fight like him. It all makes sense to me If I am Montreal coach, i dont dress Xhekai (make some injurey excuse) because. Montreal are done for the year, and risking injury to a young future asset defensmen xhakai in a staged fight with a Reeves whos career is nearing the end... in a meaninless game ( and yes i too would like to watch the fight). Meanwhile Reeves and Pazzetta try and finish checks and then fight to keep a job in the NHL
