Because of rape culture. It is very common to make jokes about sexual acts or how to get a girl. It is normalised to pressure woman for sex or to trick them by giving them alcohol. When a woman complains about sexual assault you will see people will blame the victim for not acting responsible all the time. The rules get very blurry when people normalise this behaviour in every way. How cool is it for man to have a lot of girlfriends who you can have pleasure with? A lot of man can't handle the responsibility they have and think they are a real mean if they try really hard. It's like a common knowledge somehow when a woman say no that she actually can mean yes but plays hard to get. Stuff like that makes it confusing for a lot of people and some people just take advantage of it and know how to act unguilty
@aishamalhotra87994 жыл бұрын
I think Ryan is so mature and intelligent. He isn't cancelling paco out of nowhere and that is so hard to do when he is such a close friend. What Paco did is not right . He apologized for his mistakes and he learned from it or I hope he did . He explained his point of view also . We all don't know what happened. Only those two people know what exactly went down that day. So I can't go on to say that Paco should be cancelled or Paco is a rapist . But that doesn't justify the things that he admitted to doing like sending dick pics and stuff . That is disgusting. But he admitted to it . He learned from it . Ryan totally understands the fact that everyone is normal. Everyone makes mistakes. We all need to learn that . Cancel culture is so toxic. I am not defending Paco but we all don't know what actually went down that day . We will never know .
@jasonpeng57984 жыл бұрын
Regret and rape are NOT the same thing. Paco is sleazy, yes, but what he did was NOT rape and it is 100% unfair to call if that or for the girl to call it that. For the girl to say that she was sexually assaulted just takes credit away from actual victims.
@rej20954 жыл бұрын
"Sending dick pics and stuff" I have no idea wtf is going on here, but as an adult woman, its really fucking weird to read that sentence and have it be all i really have to go on atm. Remember south Park where kyle his brohter has a relationship with his teacher? That was nice right according the police? Because it is cool for a men to date a mature woman. It is normalised so even woman can be influenced and think it is OK to groom young boys and they have a good change to get away with it because nobody is aware of it. It's a system designed for men by men that doesn't mean woman can be part of it aswell but it is less likely because woman in general are not teaches them to be a predator. At the same time, the apology is a huge first step. There's a lot of grace and justice in what Ryan is saying and is probably the classiest way to handle the situation. . Paco is probably one of the wittiest guys in the community but as Ryan put it, none of this was okay. LETS remember that if it’s a pressured “yes” that is NOT consent. look it up. it has to be an enthusiastic yes.
@rephaelreyes85524 жыл бұрын
Lol I can just imagine a guy stopping a sexual tension with his gf because her yes wasn’t enthusiastic enough. I think many guys have issues about respecting the thoughts of others or their gf. I don’t think it’s talked about enough and due to things being instant and immediate this day and age, guys seek an immediate response. Idk I just think in most of these cases, the aggressor usually has something wrong with them (no social skills or insecurities) along with no discipline and self control. I think pornography has a big contribution to this kind of behavior too. When we are sexually aroused and home alone, we usually just masturbate it out. People just don’t develop the skill to tolerate sexual tension as much as they should be.
@michfuuj4 жыл бұрын
Rephael Reyes I recently took a sexual assault course for my college ( BC a bunch of girls get sexually assaulted their first year of college) and the enthusiasm is a big part of consent, both parties HAVE to be into it for it to be consensual. and most rapes don’t happen by a stranger, it’s usually a friend or a relationship. I don’t care if you have sex addiction or you jacked off too much to not be able to control yourself. rape is rape. You need an enthusiastic yes, not a pressured yes.
@michfuuj4 жыл бұрын
Rephael Reyes and the porn industry really messed with young people’s mind so much it’s terrible, but it can’t be blamed for cause of rape. Your own actions are to blame. You can’t plea “insanity by porn” LoL
@michfuuj4 жыл бұрын
Rephael Reyes And it’s a bit tricky for consent in relationships, bc ( 100% you are NOT entitled to have sex with your partner because they are your partner) but usually consent when it’s your gf / bf is the enthusiasm . As in, they kiss u back or they take off their own clothes and are super engaged with the sexual act.
@rephaelreyes85524 жыл бұрын
michelle l I agree but I believe porn plays a huge part to why this sort of thing is happening. If anything, I think your course should be a class requirement for all high school students. That’s why I said guys have problems with their gf because rape usually happens between two couples. No one in public school is taught that pressuring their gf is wrong and could be considered as harassment. I believe some have a wrong perception that forcing their partners to say yes is their rights in a relationship. It can be a very gray area to whether or not to consider it as rape. If it’s a couple that have been married for 30 years and the wife didn’t want it that day but the husband keeps insisting, then the husband is just being a horny dog. If a new couple that never had sex before and the guy keeps insisting, then it’s obvious a red flag. But a couple that is 6 months or a year or two into a relationship that previously had sex before and the woman says no while the guy insists, then it can become very complicated. Yes it requires common sense, but some guys are too dumb or have not considered situations like this. I completely agree with you though

Had a friend who I found out had raped his so repeatedly throughout the five years they were in a relationship together only really found out towards the end. At first I was conflicted and I didnt know what to do, the guy had been my friend for so long it didn't seem right to drop him. I tried to stay being his friend and to tell him to do better, and to be better. Didn't really pan out for me, he wasn't willing to accept he was in the wrong and he always tried to justify his behavior and actions. At the end of everything I couldnt continue to be his friend, because he somehow thought he was in the right and wasn't willing to be better.

I'm not fully aware of the situation as this is the first I'm hearing of it but from what I'm gathering from the comments and his words, my thoughts on this statement is that even though it's understandable that he must feel torn up and conflicted about this situation a major issue that is too often ignored in these situations are once again the victims themselves there was a thread going around twitter a while ago which explained it perfectly and a point it conveyed was that in these situations people tend to focus on how or when to forgive the perpetrator and when they can be brought back into society rather than caring for the victims and making sure they feel safe and this is what I'm getting from Ryan's words here as he said himself it's something that occurred recently but he's still more focused on when paco can be "uncancelled" rather than any mention of if the victim is okay which again it's his friend but I think it just speaks to the larger societal issue of putting the perpetrator's life above the victim that basically their life shouldn't be ruined due to their "mistake" even though the victim's life probably already is and they're receiving no help, justice or compensation

Love that you brought this aspect to the table. I think be opened the door to this topic by saying he's feeling conflicted finding out this side of his friend. Which is true, anyone would feel that way seeing someone's ugly side. But yeah, downward spiraled a bit into your topic. Friends are always going to feel a bit biased, but I don't think he meant it maliciously. There's not a real solution that Ryan can propose. Like, Ryan can't reach out to the victim and ask if they're okay. That could make things worse. It's just a shitty situation in general.

Y'all, I feel for Ryan so much right now. Like, we all know and love him and can feel how his love for KZfaq isn't the same anymore, and rightfully so, cause he's one of the old-school KZfaqrs that actually puts so much effort into his videos being pressured into doing mainstream stuff and uploading everyday. We sense him going through personal stuff, his friends and him have been separated, he sounds upset about where he is in his life right now, and this to top it all off. I will be so sad if he stops forever bc he's the best KZfaqr and no one can change my mind, and we would have lost the one of the best content creators this platform has ever had. But I honestly I just wish him happiness and well-being ❤️

Edit: going back and watching his response again, I see that I misused the phrase white knighting. His response was full on contradictions and "white knighting", and was not well put together. He also mentioned that he takes responsibility for the stuff he did, but said nothing about how he will improve, as if he doesn't want to face the consequences. He needs to actually show that he learns from it, but from what I've see of him and his desire to push social boundaries, that may take a very long time.

@@Shavinderyt to be fair. He showed his face in a verbal apology and told his side of the story in a video. All she did was type out a twitter message. His video seemed pretty sincere, especially since theres really no room to lie in a situation like this. Both stories pretty much add up, except Paco filled in the gaps that she "couldn't remember."
