Throughout this entire video, I was stressed bc I didn't know if the painting was actually gonna turn out good or not but I'm genuinely so impressed of how it turned out. When people say to trust the process they REALLY MEAN to trust the process

100% this, I started painting minis last year and had 0 confidence in painting, and every time I paint a mini theres always moments where I feel like I messed up royally but I just keep following the process and I come out with great results every time. TRUST THE PROCESS

Ok, I haven't watched the rest of the video yet, but I paused at 9:44 and that is amazing! He really did make it all into happy little accidents. That black mark he made on accident turned into the shoreline, and the "undetailed trees" are beautiful, and the look of a reflection that he gave on the water. I mean, I'm stunned. He's been cracking jokes this whole time but that painting is truly really good.

@@cookedpizza1 It would actually be quite easy to fake it, as there were a lot of cuts that could have been used to fix things up, and when it zoomed in on just his hand it could have been someone elses. I do believe that it was all by Ryan but I'm just letting you know how easy it would have been to fake it.

@@loliprison7759 I think you should watch the ten minute power hour episode by the Game Grumps. They did a Bob Ross tutorial and it actually turned out really good. They usually try to make a mess and ultimately just ruin everything, but their paintings turned out well. I feel it's one of those things that looks hard, but is actually pretty easy.

@@MidnightMagic956 The only major issue I see in the painting is that darker and lighter greens of trees are in reverse order. Since it is dawn or sunset and the sun are close to the horizon lighter greens have to be farther away from the viewer, and darker greens have to be closer.

You do realize that he wasn't painting any of that? Every time it's a close up (where the real painting is happening) it's someone else. Every time the camera is behind him (where you can see him) his brush doesn't do anything to the painting. Doesn't have to be genius to see that.
