Dealerships look for ways to get out of doing warranty work. For example it’s the customers fault. Neglected maintenance etc. I asked when I bought my dodge for example .... about cold air intakes which were okay as long as it was reputable. K&N kit. However that changed if I touched a computer. I was also LoL informed my non factory parts would not be warranted. Duh 🙄 I asked about lift kits etc. I was told they are fine so long as they were properly installed. So chances are Ryan will be okay. But I get his reluctance.

If you dont get it fixed you can disable chime so you wont hear the ringing from notification but screen will still come on

Probably the ABS module vs. the sensors in the wheels. To replace the module it takes a download from the dealership .

I did the sensors on my uncles Silverado didn’t fix it we ended up pulling the abs relay 🤷🏽♂️

Take a meter and see if the sensor is open before you remove it so you don't waste your time.

You never really said what your issue is, I'm assuming that it's the ABS light is on. The abs light is just like a check engine light in that it comes on to tell you there is a code stored, so what you need to do is plug in a scan tool and read what the code is. If it is a code for a wheel speed sensor, then you need to check that wheel bearing for looseness, it could be loose and you can't feel it yet, common for trucks with big wheels, a loose bearing will cause the tone ring to move and change the air gap on the sensor, setting a code and turning on the light. Also, rust builds up on the wheel bearing where the sensor mounts, that can cause the sensor to lift up and change the air gap, so when you have the sensor out you need to be sure the mounting surface for the sensor is completely clean and rust free. There are several other things that could turn on the abs light, but that's the most common. When you plug in a scan tool you'll want to look at history codes in the abs because once the system detects a problem and you turn the key off it is now a history code, and every time you turn the key on the system runs a self test, and once it runs the test all codes that aren't active, which a speed sensor wouldn't be because there is no speed, become history codes since they didn't happen this ignition cycle.

Try a relearn process on the pcm. Discount batteries for about 15 minutes so all energy can disapate. Then start relearn procedure.

It can be caused by a bad wheel bearing. A scan tool should tell you what sensor is messing up and it'll lead you to the one to look at

You should of cleaned the rust off the back of rotor can have a vibration sometimes

With the abs ,the condition of the wheel bearing might be the problem. Loose or worn bearing and/or if the grease inside the bearing disappears it affects the reading. As well the rear sensor can be affected by metal flakes from a worn rear gear.

I added a comment on one of your different vids...it’s probably the same issue I’m having. The code will probably pull up a bad ABS module. Dealership will replace it under warranty. If it doesn’t fix the issue, then a new wiring harness will be needed. FCA took 4 months to figure this out.

Sensors don't normally go bad but wires do so I would check the wire like poke it with a light pen and see if it's getting signal because sometimes that's what it is I know because I'm working on a truck with the exact same problem

I’d imagine one of your hub bearings is bad on either side or could be both. That’s typically what sets the lights off for abs or the abs module that controls the brake system. Those big wheels with the offset aren’t helping your hubs out any though you can check them by jacking it up and spinning the wheel and see if you can feel grinding or put your hand at the top and bottom of the wheel and try to move it like you would side to side to see if there is any movement but sometimes there isn’t any because it just started to go bad can use a stethoscope and listen to see if you can hear any of the bearing grinding inside the hub bearing itself

I was having the same issue with my 2017. Replaced the sensors and nothing. Hooked up a scan tool to it and it said something about the abs pump module. Cant quite remember. I’d check your wheel bearings before taking it to the dealership.

Hey bud, as a diesel tech I love watching this stuff as I do it every day for my career. Please invest in a torque wrench. It really matters for brakes, suspension, and steering components. Other stuff? Yeah you can kinda get away with usually. But the wheels, brake components, steering components, really need proper torque. If any one of them fail? You could be killed if you loose control or someone else could be killed, especially tuning heavy wheels and tires. Not trying to hate, trust me I love the videos, just trying to keep you and your girl safe!

Bro if you don't have a scanner that can do ABS, just save yourself a headache in the future and buy one, they are not that much and it will point you in the right direction. Multiple things that can be setting the ABS light off, speed sensors, wheel cylinders etc.

So their called brake clips and on the back of the wheel if they’re not any small grooves in them you’re needing to remove them. If you have grooves behind the holes then you can keep them on.

Those are called tattle tale clips. If you had drum brakes and those clips were still on the. You know the brakes were never checked. They use those to hold rotors and drums on when the vehicle is built on the assembly line

The ABS is having issues bc the truck is sensing that its not stopping correctly. it is overated with tire size its a computer system issue. That truck will never have ABS work correctly its just to much tire.

To be honest i dont think any dealer will touch anything mechanical on that truck they will just say the sensors went cause of just name it😂 you touched everything on that truck almost. It might not even fit in their shop its so wide

I think you should unhook the battery and let it sit for about ten minutes and hook the battery back and see if that will reset the brain box, I don’t know much about dodges I’m a Chevy lady, on some Chevy s that resets the brain box. Although I think that you are probably running a after market chip to increase the horse power and gearing and fix the speedometer to the right speed with the bigger tires?? I think I would still try it anyway. Love the channel.

The hydraulic control unit might have gone bad. It’s common with the 2500s. I’ve replaced a few in the dealer

@@ryan2546 the piece all the brake lines go into. It connects to the abs module. Look up hydraulic control unit (HCU) for your year it will give you an idea. Either way if your still under warranty the dealer should be able to cover it. Nothing from that lift would of caused issues with it

239 if they make those torpedo heats tri fuel so it can quick heat or propane steady heat or plug in keep warm, just depends if new construction no wall or some windows or insulation in, & it needs a high low setting walls or no walls mode GOD/not creator
