making a puller out of plate is a great idea. That or tapping threads into it and making a slide hammer. Nice to see the progress!

Hi, I'm a new subscriber to your channel, I'm enjoying the Ford 8700 rebuild videos. What is your Instagram channel would like to follow you there too. When I was younger (late 80's) I used to operate a TW-10 & TW-20 owned by my brother, we replaced both engines with two TW-25 engines. We had a few issues with the original engines, dropping valves etc... You will love your 8700 (9700) when you rebuild it. The 700 series (TW) Q Cab were great cabs too. Keep up the good work.

Might not be a bad idea to try heating the liner and or piston with oil on top so that way when it expands the oil runs down in. And if all else fails make a heavy steel plate to go over top of piston and liner with a grease fitting or to hook a porter power up to pressurize it and force it down. Once you get it to move you'll be home free I think. Last resort is melt it out with a torch than chip remaining bits out with chisel. You'll get it maybe not the first try but one time it will just fall out ;)

stevenpturcheck I got her out lol. A little blunt action with a 10lbs sledge and a block of wood couldn't fix lol melting it would've definitely been a last resort lol but it woulda been easier!

Great video man, what are you doing with the 6.0?
@Fordfarmer97006 жыл бұрын
Tyler’s 6.0 thanks and nothing it was a reman that shattered the cam and front cover.
@birdsnestfishing6986 жыл бұрын
How much power are you trying to get out of it in the end?
@Fordfarmer97006 жыл бұрын
Tyler’s 6.0 150hp at best nothing crazy but if I had the money I'd do away with the upper fuel tank and put twin turbos on it and pull it lol
