So far I have made a all in one weight tree and barbell rack with hooks for accessories out of scrap wood bed slats and steel pipe. Also a landmine plate out of ply wood, a castor wheel fork and steel pipe to hold the barbell, some collars and handles to go with it too. Looks almost like what you'd get in the shops. I couldn't be happier. Plenty more to come as the home gym gets built.

Absolute favorite DIY stuff is all my strongman stuff, I've made a custom axle that's literally just galvanized steel tubing from Menard cut down to 7ft with duct tape collars, I also have a ton of old tires cuss they're free, diy deadluft platform, and even though they're not diy a pair of gymnastic rings are super versatile

I took an old wooden pallet from someone's house (they were throwing it out following some construction material delivery - I did ask first!), took it apart and used the planks to make a weight storage similar to your fishtank one, with a few dividing bits of wood to help sort plates and keep other accessories. Also "built" my own pulley system in pretty much the same way as you, but use my loaded barbell across my lap to weigh me down for lat work. Nice vid, have sub'd!

Can you do a more detail video about the kreative way to use the single cable system? I have also a cable system on my rack, but your examples showed me that there are so much more exercises.
@RyanTreadaway
@RyanTreadaway 3 жыл бұрын
The exercises I shared are what I feel are the most created exercises. You could perform basically any exercise with a cable though. Various bicep curls, tricep extensions, pulldowns, rows, leg extensions, leg curls, calves, lateral raises, crunches, neck ext, neck curl, etc.

Hi , I made several attachments for my pulley system using nylon dog training lead. It’s incredibly strong and once knotted stays knotted. It’s very cheap and much smoother and less ‘clanky’ than chain.
@RyanTreadaway
@RyanTreadaway 3 жыл бұрын
Ahhh. I like this idea a lot! I think that'd be perfect for two leg lying let curls. It's always hard to get the chain the exact same length on both sides. Often times it'd feel like one leg had one link of extra length.

It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B
