Awesome someone has rye grass again in their videos 🤙 looks amazing mate and them rotary scissors are so cool need my weedeater to die so I can upgrade and get one that can take the scissors 👍

Hopefully Ben can have some more rye grass at his place too when his bore pump goes in. Yeah I love a bit of rye in the winter, Its fun to play about with. The rotary scissors give a very clean cut I'm looking forward to using them more

Your rye grass is popping up beautiful, the yard looks amazing ! I don't have a lot of money to spend on fancy things, but I have been using a piece of plastic lattice from the hardware store cut to 2' wide by 8' long to do my turnarounds when I am close to my hedges.

I've been using the reciprocating cutting blade tool for about a year and will bring up your edges a treat once you get used to how it works. 👍🏻

Looking great Brenton 👍 it will be interesting to see how the rotary scissors go over the winter on the rye then summer with the couch grass I hope that you are not feeling any long term effects of the Covid.

Hi Luke, Yeah They are perfect for the slightly raised quick curb edges I have on that side. No I seem to be recovering well which is good. Have a great weekend mate

Love it. I have the same power scissors on Honda versatool as well but it in 425. I am betting the 435 will be pretty heavy

@@theaussielawn yeah mine is finally starting to establish as we have had a few good days of sun, had to over seed at least 4 times due to rain, still can’t get to Protea on it but just to wet, I need my strips back as I’m sick of the neighbours asking what’s wrong with the lawn 😂

@@theaussielawn Brenton, can I ask is it ok to apply liquid fertiliser on wet grass. Not grass that is super wet but with all the rain we've had, the leaf always seems to be wet and now dewy. I have santa ana couch. Cheers.

What do you think of doing the edges first? I do the edges first and then mow thus, picking up the waste grass from the edge cutting. Also, after putting all those lovely strips in, won’t the edger impact on the shape of the all ready made stripes?

100% first usually. But what I did notice was because the rotary scissors left clumps it didn't pick up with the reel mower when I went back over them off camera. I ended up blowing them off

@@andyk8322 Ohh Velveteen nice one. If you are north of Brisbane I wouldn't advise rye in that climate it will be very prone to disease attack
